webfact
Police insist official document not meant as an order to detain protesters By The Nation The Democracy Restoration Group posted a picture of a Border Patrol Police Region 1 document signed on July 24 detailing protests by the Free Youth group and the Students Union of Thailand. The document mentions searching a location to “detain 100 protesters and five leaders” and a resolution to “deal with” anti-government rallies in the future. However, police said the document was a part of usual procedures when there was a political rally and only informed officers to be prepared. Police claimed that mention of any location did not mean protesters were to be detained, so they did not want anyone to misunderstand the document as it was only a guideline. Meanwhile, red shirt activist Jatupon Prompan said a Free Youth pro-democracy protest has been organised at King Taksin the Great Monument while the pro-government group gathers at Democracy Monument. He asked protesters to coordinate with the authorities as this kind of event had previously led to violence. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday (July 29) that he was concerned about political rallies and asked representatives from the group that supported his government not to hold any protest as the situation could lead to violence. They illegally took the country by force and gave themselves amnesty to do whatever they wanted. It is of no concern to them. They will leave after they have raped and pillaged the country. Much like the Khmer Rouge did in Cambodia. Only difference u see is the killing fields are different.
nausea
It's gonna be very interesting to see how this plays out; we're seeing the velvet glove displayed. Comparisons to the Khmer Rouge are totally inappropriate. No velvet glove with the Khmer Rouge, iron fist all the way. Now this is a surprise with these brown noser's holding a pro government rally. Wonder how much they make? What would be fun is to assemble all of the population in every city to rally who does not like this government and it's Pinocchio fathead and then on another day let the pro Pinocchio regime ones rally and then we can honestly see what is factual. I can say my entire family and extended family would be on the get out side. 3 hours ago, webfact said: Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday (July 29) that he was concerned about political rallies and asked representatives from the group that supported his government not to hold any protest as the situation could lead to violence. hotchilli
If the powers to be start getting heavy handed with students there will be more trouble than he bargained for. Students tend to stick together and if push comes to shove watch them all turn out for the biggest protests ever seen.
