Agent route for retirement extension

Featured Replies

Just asking if Express Visa direct in Pattaya and James is a trusted visa agent. Have a couple of guys that wish to go the easy way with a hassle free extension based on retirement.

Any guys in Pattaya that have dealt with this agent before? Is all good?

  • Wouldn't it be better asking the particular Immigration office which agents they deem "trustworty" ?

  • Weird . They will look at the idiot being ripped off by an agent.

  • Another agent thread, Zzzzz. Doing it on your own is a hassle, that's for sure, especially if you're a first timer. Personally, having gone both routes, I'd go for the agent every time. The difference

What's a hassle free extension based on retirement in your opinion? What requirements are they worried about?

Just a guess but thinking no 800k in bank.

However now post covid they most likely don't have current permission of stay.

Easy if they have not used their extension to say VE or tourist visa.

However your correct OP gave no detail.

If they charge more than 12,500 don't use them, they offer nothing extra

And you have been using them? You know what you post is true? They charge 17,000

And what is extra?

i said "if they charge more than 12,500" for the basic extension it's too much, all the other addons of re-entry permit or multi entry are standard costs for all agents.

17,000 for what?

do you mean thaivisa express off soi buakao at villa supermarket ?

The difference between queuing for two hours, getting all sorts of weird requirements, and being in and out in five minutes, does it for me.

If you do not have the 800k in bank it will be 25k.

The OP asking a question with no info.

I have a simple question. Is it a reliable agent? Nothing more. What is the problem? You know? Have you used the agent?

If not, why do you bother?

I do agree with the 25k when not having the 800k. 19-20k will go straight to the IO.

Personally I would do it myself and save a lot of money.

Easy to do yourself.

Not if you immigration office will not allow monthly income method for extensions. If you haven't the 800/400K Baht in the bank, an agent is a good alternative.

Why would your immigration office not allow the monthly income method?

I only did the agent route once, but would have done so again. Beats getting to the office at 4 am just to get a q number ( Chiang Mai ) and having extra pointless extras to contend with every time. In fact I'd pay 17,000 just for the hassle free procedure, but I paid a lot less in C M.

NB I did have 800,000 of my own in the bank.

They make up their own rules. One office is not the same as another.

Trouble with income method that the amount builds in Thai bank, especially with lockdown,in time has to be returned

That's not correct it's 12,500 baht for the year extension, of course more if they need the non imm O first

it's not all about you you know, it's a general discussion, it sounds like you don't even understand what 17k gives you

Nope, you are referring to the Non imm O plus year extension

There are no fixed prices for agent 0 visa's or agent yearly extensions, they can cost anything from 10k through to 50k. Not sure why all the arguments about the price.
