Thammasat University Vice-Rector, Parinya Tewanarumitkul, said Saturday that there is new evidence which could be used to justify the reopening of the hit-and-run case against Red Bull heir Vorayuth Yoovidhya, despite the claim by the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) that the case is closed.

Speaking at a panel discussion on the controversial case, held today at Thammasat University, the law professor said that evidence of alleged illicit drug use by Vorayuth, and the speed at which his car was travelling at the time of the fatal accident road accident eight years ago, could still be used to revive the case.

Better chance of scoring at one of those upmarket, rich hi-so hangouts in Thong Lo! Dentists only do Novacaine!

I guess some dentists would do well to advertise a few lines of blow as part of the therapy... it would be hard to shut your mouth when the drilling starts!

Dentists sniff at cops’ cocaine story in ‘Boss’ case

The RTP is busted. They were outed for being the franchise that they are. They were ordered to stand down. And they did. And they went out of their way to make up a story. And the story was pathetic, backed up by unreliable and unbelievable witnesses.

Now, the public is outraged, and rightly so. Corruption is ugly. When it is blatant, performed by utter incompetents, and right in your face, it is far uglier. Prayuth has alot to answer for. He is in a pickle. He is there to protect the elite, the police, the powerful and those in office. What to do?

He will do what he typically does. Install a committee. After some time, they will find a few officers they are willing to use as scapegoats. They will be transferred. As usual no firings, no prosecutions, and no jail time for anyone. The shameless and toxic Thai army, at work, and the RTP. A franchise for hire.

Agree but doubt they'll even bother with scapegoats. They committees will drag on, 30 days, few extensions then when they think it's sufficiently died down, they'll announce the new witnesses, one who's now dead but gave a signed testament before his untimely accident, and the other, a very senior airforce officer beyond reproach, meant that Boss was not speeding and did nothing wrong. The cocaine and alcohol have been explained and the fact he didn't stop, dragged of dying officer down the road, buggered off quickly and tried to get a family driver framed, and then missed 8 warrants before fleeing the country and hiding, will all be forgotten conveniently.

Face means they will never back down. Justice isn't the slightest bit important. Just like with the Koh Tao murders, now all about managing the PR, and silencing dissent before stamping it closed how they want it closed. They certainly don't want the public and electorate thinking they have any say in anything.

Surprised the Red Bull bunch didn't yet offer up a defamation lawsuit for connecting "Boss" to the product...after all he has never worked there.

I am sure they are desperate to disown him for the bad business advertisement.

Is there such an offence as 'attempting to pervert the course of justice' in Thailand?

Depends on who you are and what connections you have!

If there is, in this case alone it seems that half the senior cops in Thailand are due a gaol sentence.

Yes. It called voting for anyone other than the military backed party. Punishable either by being shot, dissapearing or being subject to continuous trumped up charges

With no change likely into the distant future.

Isn't that really something for a vast number of population.

Unbelievable. Their pathetic lies have been accepted and they’ve never been challenged until now, through social media. One of the few places in the world where social media has been of some benefit. Amazing Thailand.
