The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) is now allowing stadiums where cockfights, bullfights etc are held to reopen after they were ordered to close at the height of the pandemic.

This time, however, all attendees will be required to practice protection measures, such as wearing facemasks and getting their temperatures.

Only stadiums that have been verified by the CCSA can open.

Of course only verified stadiums can open ???? and no gambling or wagers as well ????

Last weekend spent some time on the lake at Kaeng Krachan national park...while driving down the narrow side road to the boat dock...a bunch of locals setting up for a match....flashing cash and plenty of Lao Khao to go around...perhaps celebrating their government certification...ha ha ha ha

I'm rather surprised this wasn't posted by @rooster himself!

Cocking fighting and all other fighting sports are cruel. Nobody humane should indulge in them.

Thought it was going to be something to do with Scrabble.

Yes  and if you kill a Soi dog (that may have killed your chicken) all hell breaks loose.

And in the photo a blatant disregard for the requirement.

The only thing that should be done to a rooster is a slow cook all day in red wine with a few added veggies and tasty herbs.

If you've ever wondered why you see so many rooster statues at Temples around Thailand, it's due to the fondness of a very important 'historical figure' who deemed cockfighting a very noble sport. This is why it cannot be challenged in any real way.

A "Cock & Bull" story - now fighting is officially allowed but Horse Racing - "no"!!

That's why this 'sport' is banned in civilised countries.

Sure it is,people enter a ring willingly is a total different matter.

Then again, forcing little children to fight in a ring when they really do not want to is?

Child abuse!

Apologists claim they do not use blades on the birds legs, not always but it does happen.
