Is it just me or do you have the same issues?

Girlfriend is not able to have a meaningful discussion. Concentration seems to last only 15 min.

Trying to explain something is useless.

She is extremely short tempered, shouts extremely loud and quite aggressive. 

I never came across something like this during my relationships with non Asians.

Hitting etc.... never seen something like that before.

Once the anger has gone, she is lovely again.

I don't know if I take this any longer.

I told her. Now you behave a bit. I am the breadwinner. I put the money on the table.

Or you behave like an adult or you walk.

If the concentration lasts 15 minutes you have achieved a lot. Normally they don't listen at all.

no, it's not just you, most have (Or had) the same issues

they act like this because they can, with a thai man usualy

they are quiet or it's end with a big slap on the face for her (Or worse)

 

i don't recomand to hit the girlfriend (Or any girl) but you need to be

very strong and showing at every moment who is the boss, and don;t

allow any lack of respect in any way from her.

 

In your case it's too late, the only option is to change the girlfriend

they never accept to change back, and the oral threats don't work

only the acts counts here, then dump her nowm anyway it should become

worse and worse with the time. then the sooner the better

She is quite smart but extremely jealous and aggressive. 

I told her, she can be lucky that I have an education and that I was taught not to hit a child or woman. Other men just would knock her down with one hit. She just doesn't care. When she has her 5 minutes, she grabs whatever is close. She knows that farang don't touch Thai women and that Police would never believe a story from a farang man, re domestic abuse.

I also mentioned that she would think twice, doing that to a Thai man.

I gave her the last warning. Next act like this and I help her doing her luggage and escorting her to the lobby.

Why do you take it she's from Isaan?   There's an article in today's forum about a woman driving a Mercedes who drove into people and crashed her car. A former millionaire. Perhaps you were inferring she was a previous resident of Pattaya's entertainment circle?  Thai women everywhere are capable of spitting the dummy and throwing their toys out of the pram if they don't get their way.

 

You are dating a child. 

 

Choose someone of similar socio-economic-educational status and of similar age..  life becomes much easier rather than trying to educate an emotionally immature juvenile. 

 

Or, if you are 60years old and want to date a 25 year old you’ll have to accept it comes at a price, financially and behaviourally. 

 

She sounds like the general population.

A lesson I learned the hard way from my first (non-Thai) wife - don't stay with the wrong person a day longer than neccessary.

 

Don't hesitate to get out of a relationship that is doomed to failure.

It is more prevalent in Issan gals. My first Thai wife almost 30 years ago had this same tendency as well as her sisters and friends did too. Yes I am well aware of the Thai woman who went a bit berserk. Saw it on the news yesterday. Did not read it here on TV until today.

My mrs does not have a short fuse, there is not one at all. Trying to reason with many Thai woman is hopeless, they do not respond to logic or reason and often take a disagreement with what they think as an 'attack' on them. I have often said a Thai man would not put up with this nonsense more than a week, tends to shut her up as it's true. Put up with it or leave her, you won't change them.

This is part of the problem. If they meet their friends they can't stop talking. But at your age you are more like her father or even worse.

 

I had a relationship with a Thai about 25 years younger than me. It lasted 10 years and now 10 years later we are still very good friends. Perhaps better than before. It was not always easy. Not for me and for sure not for her too. But you have to accept that she is much younger and has different ideas and does not want to listen to your wisdom. She has to make her own experience. And she might stay with you because she enjoys to have your support. But you might not be the partner of her dreams.

 

And even worse. Whenever you are with her outside others might think that she is a hooker. But she never ever had anything to do with bars or the nightlife or special massage or something similar. She has a university degree and is not a girl from the rice fields without much education. She is simply much younger than me.

Just tell her, money talks, BS walks and remind her....you've got the money!

Sounds like a mental disorder. Get her evaluated and some meds.

There are so many eligible females in Thailand, you don't need to waste your time and money on fools! Shop around!
