The book is only part of the story.

Cohen also cut a cooperation deal with prosecutors.

If anything Cohen says is a demonstrable lie Trump could of course sue Cohen for defamation, but then that would entail the process of ‘Discovery’.

What's the difference between a garbanzo bean and a chickpea?  Trump has never had a garbanzo bean on his face.

Well, Russia, Russia, Russia, impeachment, the Wuhan Flu ad. nauseum haven't brought Trump down yet but maybe another crackpot book will be the end.

Rather doubt it...

Well he better have something more than his own version of events.

He has tapes and documents which he has turned over to prosecutors.

So yes, he has a whole lot more than his own version of events.

Election!

Interesting timing.  Yet more Trump-hatred in the form of yet another "tell all" book being dished out right before the election.  It will have no effect except for lining the pockets of Michael Cohen's lawyers.

Trump 2020 guaranteed.

His sex life shouldn't be an issue.  Unless he was the POTUS representing a political party who claims to be all about family values, Christianity, fidelity, conservatism.....you know, what the Republican Party used to stand for.  If that were the case, it would be gargantuan hypocrisy.

So why did he payoff people to hide his exploitation of others?

His "family values" stated he could grab any woman on the pussy because he is rich and famous, great family values.

This Before he was POTUS.

Locker room talk.

I'm just wondering when Melania will be filing for divorce.  In 2021 I'll bet, shortly after Trump loses the election.

And then Trump will get a new younger one. I can't imagine he will see that as a problem.

And a mail order bride again?

Nothing seems to hurt this President. Teflon Don gets to be more heroic with his base the more dirt that gets piled on him.

Illegitimate children, paying for abortions and fiddling with minors might be deal-breakers for one or two "evangelicals"?

Anything else, including the shower thing would probably get a pass.

What would trump have to do to lose your support?

Surely any knowledge he holds on rum, would and should remain confidential?

If he had any real dirt then once he published it would be the death-knell for "attorney-client privilege' in United States courts.
But the current media empire is willing to hand out large sums of money to anyone who is considered an "insider" who is willing to excoriate the POTUS.  The fire and brimstone will continued if not intensify as long as Trump is in office.

Exactly. It says more about Republicans than it does Trump. Once the turd is flushed November 3rd never forget how many still voted for him. First time in my life I’ve been embarrassed for them. Makes you wonder every time you meet one. Sad.

Nonsense. Private citizen Trump will spend the rest of his life in court and jail. The real fire and brimstone will be erasing his administration.

No he said it, and if as you claim"it is locker room talk" it shows misogyny, lack of respect for woman, and those who accept the talk, as acceptable are to looked at in the same manner(IMHO).

Is this acceptable talk from anyone including the POTUS?

In his book Cohen has made allegations of Trump being involved in ‘golden showers’ at a Vegas sex club.

What prominent billionaire with the services of lawyers at his immediate disposal would stand for that without filing suit?

It has always intrigued me how 'sexual pleasure between adults' is such and 'important'  issue in US .... The great puritans and religious righteousness ...

Maybe he should have suggest it could be used as a treatment for C-19 ......

LIttle of what Cohen did for Trump falls into the category of "legal services" and therefore is not protected by attorney-client privilege.  Violating laws, for instance campaign finance laws, is excluded from attorney-client privilege.

Democratic Presidential Candidate Biden put's the "Dem" in Dementia.
As there are no presidential candidates worth voting for it looks like another year for an Alfred E. Newman write-in for the 2020 Presidential election.  I wonder who plans to write the AEN tell-all book.  It might be a mad-affair.  Or maybe it's time for a John McAfee vote?  Hummm.  ????  Decisions, decisions.

555. As you said, locked room talk. Has no effect on you, or any other Trump supporters. What you don’t realize is nobody cares about Trump supporters, cause the entire Republican Party is going to lose. There’s no longer any need to pander to Trump supporters. Trump isn’t going to have a friend in the world, and they’re all going to tear him apart. Nobody realizes this more than Trump. This is why he’s so dangerous.

As if ‘Abusing the power of Government to throw the author back in prison to prevent him writing his book’ wasn’t already a book seller’s dream.

Cohen alleges Trump took part in rather unsavory behavior in Vegas sex club that mirrors allegations of Trump’s behavior in Moscow.

Trump can of course bring a case of libel against Cohen if anything Cohen says in his book is a libelous lie.

Libel in the US requires proof of damage. Damage can be for example economic (isn't Trump an alleged billionaire?) and/or phsychotic (covered already extensively in other books/op eds). Add to that Trump is a public figure.

Doubt the court would even accept the lawsuit or if it does, Trump is awarded $1.

But Cohen can only dream that Trump sues. Discovery and Trump's subpoened deposition would end badly for Trump.

that I have to agree with him.... Trump now is trying to hold funding for the USPS with the purpose of slowing down mail delivery, he appointed a "loyal" Trumper as the head of the USPS, doing all he can to disrupt mail voting, in other words, Trump election goal is a fair and square campaign....

HuffPost White House correspondent S.V. Dáte asked Trump: "After three and a half years, do you regret, at all, all the lying you've done to the American people on everything, all the dishonesties?"

Trump replied: "That who has done?"

After Dáte said he was referring to the lies Trump has told, the president quickly looked for a different reporter to call upon.
