Very, very, very impressive speech. Well done.

Contrast that to trump's rage tweeting during this address.

It's amazing to me what other people see sometimes.  I watched his entire speech and thought it so uncomfortably contrived, full of fluffy words and well worn concepts. almost mimicking Obama's "Yes, we can" 2008 campaign slogan, while not offering any real or practical substance.  I walked away with the impression that a Hollywood B-movie actor could have delivered the speech with more genuine passion.  In all the speech seemed to me to be strained, artificial, forced, unspontaneous (as if reading from a teleprompter), labored and ultimately phony.

That was exactly how I described Trump's 4th of July Covid Rally from Mt Rushmore...except Biden was more lucid.

A balanced view from Yahoo! News—quite a surprise.  Thanks, Earl.  BTW, did you notice they suspended all Comments there?  Gotta wonder if this is a political move...

How?

spoke too soon.

I do wonder how someone is nice  but sometimes creepy. But if you want creepy, you got it

My Gawd, is this a counter attempt to paint Trump to be creepier than Joe?  The video showed nothing unusual behaviorally speaking.  What is it with people being aghast at the undeniable fact that as humans we are sexual creatures, that sex is highly pleasurable, and yet we're supposed to pretend it's dirty?  I guess we have, in large part, western religious concepts to blame for that attitude.  There's nothing unnatural about sexual drives.  To the contrary, it's part of who we are.  I'm not implying at all that to force your sexual drives on another (whether male onto female or female onto male) is natural.  That it is not.  But can we get past Victorian sexual mores?

Anyway, the Creepy Trump video failed miserably in it's attempt to show Trump's quite natural sexual drives to be perverted.

I wonder who is writing this vision for him, clearly he is not.

You are, of course, aware that all politicians employ speechwriters, right?

I think your position, such as it is, can be summed by paraphrasing a saying by a past President - "It's not creepy is the President does it".

Other than that, doubt even Trump's Evangelical troops are comfortable with these images. Carry on.

Yes because we all say that if a woman wasn't our daughter then we would be dating her....swing and a miss big guy...you need to take that defense of Trump back to the shop and polish it up.

You quote me from a post where I made the point loud and clear that what is an indelible part of who we are has been thoroughly twisted to make something natural appear perverted.  And then you go ahead and do the the exact thing I spoke about.  You really have to be a master at twisting meaning and intention to suggest that the above example is perversion.  My daughter is quite attractive and I've said the almost identical thing about her to her face.  It was meant as a complement.  According to your stated viewpoint you would take my true meaning, reinterpret accordingly to fit your personal twisted views, and claim it was actually and truthfully perverted.  LOL

It's a conspiracy. An apparently pointless one, but still......one takes what one can.

:coffee1:

LOL  According to you all opposing viewpoints, even those predicated on actual evidence, you label as conspiracy but all of your evidence-lacking conclusions are not conspiracy but actual truth.  The twisted logic is simply too funny.

Could you, pretty please, cut it out with the "hate" nonsense? Criticizing Trump, preferring the other side or even not appreciating the President's character are legitimate positions. That you try to belittle and reduce all of these things into some imaginary baseless, mindless "hate" is dishonest. All the more so considering the "hatred" (by your "standards") on offer by Trump and his supporters. Don't recall you having much, if any, issues with that.

I don't know that Biden/Harris were/are guilty of all that you claim. You saying so is hardly a fact. But even if it was - there would still be issues of magnitude. Doubt they match Trump on this score. Most people on here that support Biden, do not idolize him. That's just a fake construct you prop so that you can try and equate him with Trump. Fail.

LOL  A rose is a rose by any other name.

Attempt?? LOL!

I'm not claiming that the attempt doesn't work on some people.  It obviously does.  Some, though, are not so easily fooled.

Why is it that you need to lie? I never claimed "all opposing viewpoints" are conspiracy theories. As for your nonsense "reasoning", unless you're really invested in conspiracy-theory world-view, then most people would expect you to prove such exists, rather than others constantly disproving imaginary conspiracy theories you come up with. Shocking, I know. Back to Logic 101 with you.
