The Cabinet will reach out to the younger generation next Tuesday (August 25), when its mobile meeting will hear from three youth representatives in Rayong province.

The three local students were selected by the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) to propose ideas for development of their province to the PM and his ministers.

The youngsters were chosen at an NESDC workshop held in Rayong's Mueang district on Thursday which saw 105 local school and university students brainstorm proposals for the eastern seaboard province.

Suriyon Thunkijjanukij, NESDC senior adviser, said the prime minister appointed his office to collaborate with ministries to set up events to enable youngsters around the country to express ideas for development under the national development strategy.

"For Rayong province, we set up seven topics – how to develop education, the youth’s view of the Eastern Economic Corridor [EEC] and Rayong economy, improving quality of life, developing E-sport and youth leisure pursuits, the youth’s view on Rayong's future, their view on Covid-19, and their participation in the country’s development," he said.

"We divided children into 10 groups to explore current problems, ways to solve them, and their hopes for the future."

He said the NESDC will continue setting up events to gather opinions from youngsters around the country.

The move comes after weeks of anti-government protests by students culminated in a rally of more than 12,000 people last Sunday at Bangkok’s Democracy Monument.

Listen is all that they will do.

...while they prosecute the protest leaders and try to decapitate the movement. This simply will be a distraction.

Yes divide and conquer, maybe they will hear what a handful of hand picked youngsters have to say, but taking notice, well thats something else that wont happen.

At last...the true government...the real government...the caring, sensitive, nurturing, touchy-feely and all warm and fuzzy government is...'reaching out' to the younger generation. All is well.

Hopefully the anti-virus protocols can be relaxed for just a moment, so that some....uplifting and camera-friendly group hugs can commemorate the occasion.

...and some people think the Generals are a bunch of meanies.

'The Cabinet will reach out to the younger generation next Tuesday (August 25), when its mobile meeting will hear from three youth representatives in Rayong province.'

Imagine uncle Too takes part and someone throws a shoe at him ???? :clap2::cheesy:

But from the OP: 'The three local students were selected by the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) to propose ideas for development of their province to the PM and his ministers.'

So, of course, no one will throw a shoe at him. These three students were handpicked by Pinocchio himself, I guess. And three pupils in the room seems to be a number the brave general and his gang still can fend off, just in case.
