snoop1130
EU's Barnier says at this stage deal with Britain seems unlikely EU's Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier takes off his face mask as he holds a news conference after a meeting with Britain's chief negotiator David Frost in Brussels, Belgium August 21, 2020. REUTERS/Yves Herman/Pool BRUSSELS (Reuters) - European Union's chief Brexit negotiator said on Friday that talks with Britain this week often appeared to going backwards rather than forwards and, at this point, it looked unlikely that a deal could be clinched before a year-end deadline. "At this stage, an agreement between the UK and the European Union seems unlikely," Barnier told a news conference after two full days of negotiations in Brussels. "On the European side, we are very concerned about the state of play in our negotiations. The clock is ticking." -- © Copyright Reuters 2020-08-21 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Popular Post Rookiescot
How dare those Johnny foreigners not capitulate to Blightys demands. Dont they know we are British? Just you wait mate. They will soon come crawling back asking the UK for a deal after we leave. Once they realise who really rules the waves. Just thought I would paraphrase all the Brexiteer posts soon to follow in order to save them the effort. 10 1

Anant72
Just cut off the moorings. BJ and his “damned soul” Cummings, NEVER wanted a deal in the first place.
vogie
Bully boy Barnier cannot seem to understand that the British waters belong to Britain and untill he does, which is highly unlikely, there can be no way to any agreement. A blind man can see that, Barnier doesn't want a deal. 2
Loiner
He's the one in a position to make a deal, if he want's to and Macron lets him. Looks like he will throw away the potential for free trade with the UK for a few French fish thieves. Ah well, roll on No Deal. 1 2

dunroaming
I still think when it comes to it Johnson will buckle and do a deal that suits Brussels just fine. As we know Boris is pretty spineless when it comes to it. It will be yet another U-turn from this useless bunch of inadequate fools.

In 4 months + one week hit by a 10% import duty when activities into the EU. FISH ? ? Only something of interest in the British press. Even a stupid child could know, Boris Cummings was not interested in any deal. Even when today an agreement is reached, it still has to pass the national parliaments of all 27 EU member states. Only one who wants to hurt UK competition into the EU or the Financians in London and the deal is off. Therefore in the EU we hardly hear anything anymore about the Brexit deal, as all already know the outcome: a NO deal.
