OneeyedJohn Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Oh dear, lower Thailand misses out again. 1
keith101 Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 My district in Uttaradit had flash flooding overnight on Friday with some homes getting almost 5 feet of water inside their homes , fortunately my house is on higher ground and the water only to the front gate . We lost water and power for around 10 hours as the water slowly receded and it could all be restored .
Captain_Bob Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Been a very nice wet August this year up north. Sorry for poor people in flood-prone villages, but the reservoirs and canals need filling up to sustain farmers fields and keep everything green and growing. 1 1
CGW Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Plenty of room in the reservoirs in the North East to accommodate the run off, the largest reservoir - UdonRat remains at historical low, despite all the 'promises" Flash-floods have and will always happen here, natural occurrence necessary to sustain water for the quickly approaching dry season. Tip of the day:- Build on high land 1
DrTuner Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Not a drop of water in Pattaya, just bleak sky. We'll turn into a bad copy of Dubai desert in 2021 if it doesn't start to rain soon. 2
holy cow cm Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 CM has been ok but I could stand to have more continual rail for my enjoyment.
