Actually for the Atto and Dolphin the bottom half battery pack pointing towards the road surface is metal and the upper half is plastic. The free Rat Guard modification consisting of metals shields on the battery front and anti-critters rubber coating around all the plastic cover sides takes about an hour to install at a BYD dealership. -

Having kids when old
I take it as a responsibility. I enjoyed fatherhood at age 30, I very much doubt I would enjoy it now. If you got lucky with your kids, good for you. It doesn't always turn out that way, it's a lottery. -

The Best Burger in Bangkok
I can recommend MosBurger located in most of the big Shopping Malls in Bangkok , fast-food type of place , Japanese , cooked fresh-to-order and not tepid like McD , not too fancy or stacked , but really good for a fast-food set-up. The Green Tea and Cheeseburger are my go to every time I visit Bangkok. -

ICE vs EV, the debate thread
Already stated, they've chosen EVs over ICEVs. Added plus that the energy mostly comes from hydro. Kudos to the people & govt taking advantage of that. Unlike other countries, that let fossil fuel industry dictate energy production. There really is no reason why 'most' countries, can't be energized by solar, hydro, thermal energy production. Oh wait, we know why they aren't ... Thailand being a prime example, as no reason 100% of energy isn't coming from solar & hydro production. Especially with CN so close & components inexpensive. Thankfully the people aren't waiting. I see more & more solar systems monthly. My installer added a 2nd crew, as they are non stop installing systems. At least 3 systems a week per crew, I believe. Our system only took 1 day to install, inverter, 18 panels & ESS on a one story house. -

Is Thailand Value for money
Given how unattractive some Thai BGs are now, it's an act of charity to actually give them money to be in the same room as them, regardless of what they do there.
