Be honest and tell me what else you come for, if not women? And if you mainly come for the women?Wondering of the honesty of ppl here. I came for the good exchange rate and the women. Having a military pension is not worth much in the USA. Here; however, I wouldn't have to work if I didn't want to and still can live life very comfortably. IMHO I find Thai (asian) women so much more attractive than western women in so many different ways. It's also no secret that a man can get a much younger wife here than he could in western countries. These are my main reasons for coming to Thailand. In fact, im sure they would be ashamed to talk so publicly. If I was paying for sex, I would never broadcast it. I used to think that only old men and cripples paid for sex, yet in Thailand, it appears to be something many Farangs brag about Bragging about how many girls you have paid for sex is as stupid as bragging about the ability to breathe...........Pointless, cos anybody can do it. Anybody with money enough can do it. So bragging about barfining two go-go girls at the same time is just like bragging about your new car. Or - stripping consumistic showing off ...off - I can agree it is nonsense bragging about paid sex as it is just like bragging for having bought a roasted chicken at supermarket. But we still do it because of all those hypocrits out there blaming us for doing what they would like too, but can't because of farang evil wife or other restraints. That includes all of the business people I know, if there not married. After doing business (first timers) ask, Where's the bars? Never once had somebody ask where a Temple was. Perhaps you look like the sort of person who would know where a bar is rather than a temple. The fact that you have never met a Farang who wasn't in Thailand for sex probably says a lot about the type of people you meet. ---------------------------- I like to spend about half my time with the monks, and now that I'm no longer married, half my time with beautiful Thai girls. It's a "Yin / Yang thing" Is that wrong? I have no idea as I only know what is right and wrong for me. I don't think that this thread is about right or wrong but instead about whether or not all western men come to LOS for sex. I have already stated that I didn't come for sex but some people can't accept this. It is also true that sex isn't that important to me. Some posters have a childish idea that everyone thinks the same as they do and has the same motivations. This is probably driven by fear of being viewed as a deviant. These people resort to labeling those who claim to have different motivations as 'liars'. I thought..oh well, why not...Its onlt 3 months. Anyway, got my Visa done at the Thai embassy on Bonn. Horror/ Shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I saw was a waiting room filled with older "truck-drivers" with the younger girls.. Called my mom and I remember word for word: Mom, those girls are so ugly..I dont want to go to Thailand!!!! Anyway, long story short. I am still here... I think it says enough. I did not come here for the girls... I was living in London and feeling that life was going nowhere fast after an 8yr relationship broke down. Was sick and tired of miserable weather, miserable people, and feeling miserable about the amount of bills i had to pay just for being in that miserable place So as i had not a lot to lose i thought id give here a try. So far its only been 5 months..and some days I wonder what the hel_l im doing. Then i just think back to London, and im glad im here, not there. I do think, however, that Thailand (and some other parts of Asia) are generally much easier for western men than women to settle into...for many different reasons. I have also noted that some western men that come to live in Thailand can be a bit negative about western women. Sad really. Hey torito, muchas veces, hombre, naturalmente. Pero no creo tanto hoy en dia. But it's true that Thai ladies too like a quiet polite man. They're not my faves in terms of beauty but I must admit that even the girls from up country have a certain natural charm that brings out the best in me so I'd be a liar if I said I never indulge when I go there.
