Trump 2020 guaranteed.

If your country demands that you have an armed citizenry ... you have lost any semblance of a society. World citizens take note. This poster states that the only way to preserve the USA is an armed citizenry. Wonder what has brought this need on in a just society?

To my mind, bringing a pair of clearly deranged gun nuts to the stage, to allow them to babble utter rot, probably did more damage to Trumps campaign than leaving them out. It shows all too clearly th

The article left out the part where the mob broke down a gate to their PRIVATE property and proceeded to taunt and threaten them.

Biden has been in government for around 40-50 years and he is a millionaire now.............I wonder how he did that?

How about taking the time to think and research documentation rather than make unsubstantiated statements like The Donald ...

could happen in the uk soon they reckon we,re a decade behind them in terms of crime, you won,t be able to defend yourself here though, although the right of self defence in enshrined in british common law god help you if you rely on it as a defence in a court of law,

Imagine the BIGGER MESS if Trump gets voted in again.

The two gun nuts owned the entire gated community?

No damage was done at all to their property and if you watch the videos at no point were they under threat.

Indeed after having obtained their firearms they approached the demonstrators in a threatening manner  going so far as to point their weapons at the crowd.

It's good to have your first hand account of the encounter and that you can definitively relay to us that the couple were never under threat from this mob.

Actually, I think you're a little confused about the facts. Only in Switzerland are citizens required to have guns. In Sweden you need to apply for a weapon license. And it's not easy to get one. You need to take a course for a year to qualify.. And you need to keep your weapons locked up when not in use. Rules are similarly strict for Finland.

But the right to own guns & postils  is definitely not universal. In those countries that do allow it, licenses are almost universally required.

No, that’s what happens when you threaten peaceful protesters exercising their democratic rights with guns.

I suppose you're being asinine troll. However....British security forces are renowned for their effectiveness in confronting armed terrorists and threats. As a UK citizen I find your smear of HMG security forces extremely inappropriate for those who risk thier lives, have lost their lives or been injured fighting threats to the UK and allies.

Actually, I find the British security forces extremely professional and effective in what they do.

I was quite obviously making a snide remark regarding the regular police force.

In that when policing the first Blm protests in Whitehall, the police, wearing flat caps, white shirts  soft uniform etc.

Many officers were reported and photographed taking the knee.

They were also filmed running away when the protests (surprise, surprise) turned violent.

Perhaps you remember the statue of Winston Churchill being defaced with Blm slogans, how about the scumbag trying to set alight the Union flag at the cenotaph.

Contrast that a week later when some army veterans and members of the football alliance lads, journeyed to London to protect statues.

They were met with squads of the spg in full riot gear, with truncheon drawns.

I also read and heard reports of them being kettled, told where and when  they could congregate, and generally treated like trouble making scum.

So you're a UK citizen, well so am I, and I can tell you there are very many people in the UK that are absolutely disgusted with the British police and their double standard policing.

Unfortunately they have now become just like every other public service authority, hamstrung by political correctness and identity politics.

You're a little confused yourself. Citizens in Switzerland are not required to have guns. The old Cantonal rules where you had to have a gun in order to marry were only regional rules that applied in a certain Canton. Swiss gun law was reformed in 1999 to remove these Canton peculiarities. In addition you can not just walk around with a gun in public in Switzerland, you need a special permit for that where you have to show you have a reasonable need to carry a gun. Otherwise you won't get the permit to carry the gun in public.

In Switzerland too you need a permit to have a gun (though not certain rifles), though admittedly it is extremely easy to get it. However, in Switzerland too, not just Finland or Sweden, does the law require gun owners to have weapons locked up when not in use.

Ahhh! The American obsession with guns, The right to bear arms! Is it to defend against foreign forces? China. Russia, Canada, Mexico, religious fundamentalism? I don't think there is too much risk of urban conflict there. Or are  Americans so paranoid about conflict with their fellow American citizens that they need to be armed to the teeth to live normal lives? I find this very sad!

Zero evidence that the marchers that day were in any way personally threatening these two nuts with guns.

Once the protestors went on private property and threatened to loot the house , at that point they became looters and rioters.

No evidence or proof of that as regards this couple. From the major local newspaper in that city:

Videos do not show protesters on the McCloskeys’ lawn, nor on a 1,143-square-foot triangle of grass the ownership of which is disputed. Mark McCloskey once said in a deposition that he had pointed a gun at a neighbor over that triangular patch.

Asked about Monday’s charges, St. Louis University law professor John Ammann said, “It makes a lot of difference that the protesters were not on their property, according to the videos.” If the protesters were on their property, the reasons matter, he added, giving as an example someone picking up a water bottle that had been dropped or thrown. “Under the McCloskeys’ theory, they could shoot and kill a child running on their property to get a ball they were playing with,” he said.

He also said that the fact that the McCloskeys lived on a private street didn’t matter.

Why do Americans feel so threatened by fellow Americans? Dont' you trust each other? Are you so divided that you need a gun to protect yourselves? The Indians have retreated to the reserves, but you still feel the need to circle the wagons! Tell me please, what is wrong with you people?

Wow, that's an impressive couple of speakers - Honey Bunny and Pumpkin really haven't aged very well. Perhaps Scott Baio or the Pillow Guy will bring the intellectual heft to carry all that water for the GOP.

Quite impressive to have been in power for almost 4 years and not yet have a platform for these minor issues such as COVID-19, re-opening schools, etc. Almost like their version of governing is to completely destroy and ignore the government.
