Thailand needs to attract foreign tourists back and have a welcoming system of disease control in place, so local people can start earning money again, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Wednesday.

Thats quite positive for me.

The penny is very slowly dropping as the mire is setting in.

Sounds quite good in the first moment, yes.

But you shouldn't forget that so far literally every single sentence Pinocchio said in the recent six years was a blatant lie. So, I assume this is a lie again, and his real intention is quite the opposite again as well. I guess it is only to appease the workless people in the tourism industry, and nothing more will happen.

It would make me happy it I am wrong, however.

I think it is pretty silly that the Gov't put themselves in this impossible position where the only acceptable number of infected is 0.  That's simply not going to stay that way regardless of what they do or don't do.  Tourists or no tourists.  Quarantine or no quarantine.  So now it's like they are frozen in fear because any change to any of their policies now will almost certainly result in more cases showing up.

So it is kind of like they need to just keep going with these silly polices to save face now whether they still make sense or not, no matter how much economic harm it causes.  Doing anything else will make them look bad no matter what and it's their own fault for setting this totally unrealistic expectation that 0 infected is the only acceptable number.

What? Even caucasians? No way.

I say that.....but have witnessed three fights in as many nights on Sukhumvit.....all seriously drunk caucasians .....not sure I would want to welcome them back.

Look for example at how silly your amalgam-based deductions are, do I think all of your races are just as dumb as you are? Or that you couldn't evolve?

Right now, your racialist deductions just show that you are xenophobic and a bit of an idiot. This is not inevitable, you could question yourself.
Also, if you sell alcohol in abundance and you are in a place of prostitution (I do not know), it would be curious if you would then describe the behavior of this kind of customer who frequent this addictive business. and the pulpit.
There comes a time when you have to think more and make a little more elaborate cause and effect relationships.

Let's see what a "welcoming system of disease control " is, before we rejoice!

What else is he going to say? He is under alot of pressure. He is despised by the masses. He is beyond incompetent. He is doing absolutely nothing. Less than zero.

Hahaha I live in WA we had no public infection for 134 days so you tell me I am dangerous get real

WA have been very good but only because no one is allowed in except for exceptional reasons and then 14 days quarantine. What will happen if WA open their borders to the rest of Australia? In Thailand we can travel around the country without restrictions. You cannot leave Australia unless you get permission from Border Force
