Pawanrat Naksuriya

Pawanrat Naksuriya is the latest television personality to be targeted by netizens after popular transgender TV actress and hostess Ornapa Krisadee.

There were calls for Ornapa, or Ma, to be boycotted from some shows after she stated on her Instagram account that student protesters, whom she called “little brats”, should leave school and stay at home.

As for Pawanrat, or Meow, she has been slammed by netizens for her speech on the People’s Democratic Reform Committee stage in 2014, when she said something to the effect that like "some people deserved to be shot by the ‘popcorn shooter'".

Many netizens wanted her too to be boycotted, because of “her political views” and her opinion supporting “violence”.

A Facebook page to do with politics commented that while Ornapa expressed only "impoliteness", Pawanrat’s statements showed a “dehumanisation of her fellow humans”.

It was reported that Ornapa has already been boycotted from a TV show called 3 Zaaap.

Some nutcase might take her words literally and if a student dies she will have blood on her hands and the students will then certainly have greater support for their cause.

Oh the irony and how it will be lost.

Those demanding free speech want to boycott and cancel anyone who doesn't share their views and speaks with a different view.

Socialists, Democrats, Communists, neo-Marxists and all their mates just can't tolerate criticism or different opinions; and are way too arrogant to accept free speech means everyone not just themselves and their friends.

Isn't that inciting violence, thought that was illegal?

Good point, free speech does include those with opinions different to yours also getting their say. Otherwise no better than the so-called woke.

Freedom of speech does not include freedom from consequences!

Why don't you right wingers  understand that?

The consequences seem to be social media attacks to try to get somebody to shut up. In other words, trying to get rid of somebody's freedom of speech. Right wingers understand the MO of the left wingers all too well.

I'm a huge advocate for freedom of expression, but inciting or promoting violence is a big no no.

Talking of irony , the Junta have not shown themselves to be too enthusiastic about critical comments

regarding their performance on running the country.

What goes around , comes around.

You do realise it is her that is trying to silence students dont you. Also with hate speech.

The students are not saying she cannot say what she likes, but there are consequences to saying stupid things.

You have it completely the wrong way.

Which is fine, but people also have the freedom to stop listening. Just turn off the TV.
