AC condenser running non-stop

Featured Replies

Staying in a hotel and the compressor is running nonstop even set on 30 degrees throughout the night.

Hotel is refusing to fix it and insisting it’s working as cold air can still be felt coming the AC unit. The temperature feels the same whichever degrees it’s set at.

Can this cause any health problems? Both me and my partner have sore throats but not sure if it’s related to this..

It probably is as it dries the air out, can give you a cough and sore eyes. Move hotel.

Possibly, it will be drying the air if it's running constantly on "cool".

Does the compressor stop if you turn off the A/C?

I would just run the system "manually" turn it on when you're hot, off when cool enough.

Then move.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Is the fan blowing hard? If not, did you check the filter? If it's plugged it wont cool effectively and the compressor will run constantly. If you pull the filter is the coil frozen over?

It's good to change the mode to "fan" put it on high and dry the unit out occasionally.

Why not change rooms if it's not getting cool?

My partner always has a sore throat....
