This is a problem stretching back many years, ever since mental hospitals were closed in favour of "care in the community:" or  as one former government minister is supposed to have put it: “Couldn’t-care-less in the community.”

 

It is a situation which has resulted in many preventable attacks by the mentally ill; many preventable deaths.

I can see that many have lost interest in this since their ill informed assumptions were debunked by the facts. But for those still interested, the victims were all named last Wednesday when McLeod appeared in court.
