BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has delivered 60 housing units to residents of Bueng Bang Sue community in Bangkok, built as part of a community development campaign.

The Prime Minister also viewed an exhibition relating the history of the Sarn Phalang Pracharat Bueng Bang Sue community development project, before delivering the new house registrations to a community representative.

The community development project running from 2012 to 2016 was part of the Community Organizations’ Development Institute’s Ban Mankong project, during which dwellings were built for 45 households. More units are currently being constructed for 197 households in the second phase which started in April 2018,

The project has received funding and loans from the Community Organizations Development Institute, with Siam Cement Group providing the land for construction. So far, housing for 60 households has been completed, in the form of 2-story row houses, each with 48 square meters of space.

The construction of this housing is part of an overall community development campaign promoting the strength of community residents, developing the area into an urban organic vegetable farm, and an inspirational learning center.
