Buddhists at least should understand why executing criminals is a very bad idea. That aside revenge murder is still murder.

Now he applies for bail and takes his wealth on a long earned holiday.

Just like others have done before him

I wonder if the guy you hire to take your place in prison has to look like you, or can you hire anyone with a pulse?  And how often would you need to swap them out for an 8 year sentence?

still,  8 years in a Thai prison would be like a lifetime of hell.  It's better than him getting off scott free.

Is he inside yet, or still piffing around outside.

With his money & connections (which he obviously has, judging by the sentence) jail will be a stroll AND it won't last 8 years.

Another fine upstanding Thai politician.

I highly doubt that he will be doing hard time..

8 years for kidnap and murder(s)? So the original sentence was 16 years.. with the 50% discount for pleading guilty,

This guy is as arrogant as they come.

After the car crash he tried to supervise the attending cops and the investigators.

Good point, but perhaps it's even more; this one is a scaly ruthless dishonest and corrupt politician, plus he's a scaly ruthless dishonest and corrupt cop.

Sad that there's so many of these folks in the gov't and the RTP.
