If public holidays stimulated the economy, then I suggest cancelling work-days indefinitely.

What a ridiculous country this is. Little wonder in the real world it is only known for spicy food and lady boys.

  • How many more manufacturing jobs does Thailand have to lose, before someone wakes up and realize they are no longer competitive. In today's environment they can not afford even one.

Another day and another stupid idea from the Minister of non Tourism. Maybe he should realise that all these public holidays are damaging to businesses and the weak economy.

Calm down lad.

There's only 18, they can squeeze a few more in surely.

It may be a silly idea, but they have no clue, people suffer, they need find way opening for tourism, wirhout quarantaine.

Just ask for healthcertificate from their country of origin. This is the best option to get money flowing again.

Trust peoples care for health and not make Farang the "filthy" Farang. I know people who have intention of stay or long vacation here will be cautiously and be safe. Tat should trust in common sense of them. And it will be better. Nobody WA ts to be sick here a d only healthy people will come. Only returning countrymen have been found dick until now....

It is very sad to read so many officials spouting a lot of nonsense. Maybe good idea to look outside Thailand to recruit officials who can really help the country to weather the economic storm in a constructive and realistic way. No one seems to realise there will be no Foreign Tourist for the rest of this year and probably the next year. This will be reflected in stark economic facts that will have to be reported from the third quarter of 2020 onwards. Meanwhile no need to declare more public holidays as permanent holidays will become the new normal for so many

After so many examples of what you reference and similarly daft logic seen in much of the population we used to joke there might be a 'Thick Gene '. Subsequent publications of Thailand’s lowly position in the PISA educational tables and googling average IQ by country reveal that this turned out not be a joke...

There is a simple mathematical equation for this that may help these incompetent fools dealing with stimulating the economy and no people having not enough money.

And that is A minus B. Or 1-1=0

A lobotomy would go well with all statist leaders and their followers whom are shepherded into the voting pens

Of course they shouldn't, need to spend less time on here and more time doing what they get paid for.

Bless 'em.
