Good for them, in Canada, the tax payers pay for any Royal visit, as well as has a very well paid Governor General, who represents the Queen.  Better not to have to keep paying for England's Royalty.

Quite agree about the smashed peas - unless they are with mint.  Now that makes smashed peas delicous
