Featured Replies

Big C & Tesco accept any current visa logo credit card without a 3% levy.

If 3% charged it is your cards issuer that is charging same

  • As said yes I use my UK credit card in Big'C',  Tesco, Global house,  7-11. and restaurants and fuel garages , Makro cash only.

  • Because Tesco won't hit the OP with a 220 baht (?) charge like the ATM, or a cash withdrawal fee like many credit cards do.  Who's the DUH?

  • Yes

I use my US Bank and Chase credit  cards and my USA Credit Union debit cards without any issues of the 3% levy at the major stores. The card issuers do charge the 3% Foreign Transaction Fee. If I use it at smaller stores they will charge the 3% levy, as well as the card issuer's 3% fee = 6%. So I don't use the card at such shops.
