The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration today (September 24) reported two cases in state quarantine over a 24-hour period.

The two latest cases are asymptomatic.

One is a 38-year-old businessman, who returned from the United States on September 10 and went into state quarantine in Bangkok. He was found positive on September 23.

The other is a 54-year-old female teacher, who came home from the US on September 17 and also went into state quarantine in Bangkok. He tested positive on September 21.

Meanwhile, eight patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

The number of confirmed cases in Thailand has now increased to 3,516 (578 in state quarantine). Of these, 104 are in hospital and 3,353 have recovered and been discharged. The death toll remains unchanged at 59.

Thailand ranks a safe 136th for most cases in the world.

According to Worldometer, as of 10am, the number of confirmed global cases has passed 32 million (increasing by 315,717 in 24 hours). Of these, 23.67 million have recovered, 62,377 are in severe condition and 981,958 have died.

The US has the most number of Covid-19 cases, with 7.13 million, followed by India (5.73 million), Brazil (4.62 million), Russia (1.12 million) and Colombia (784,268).

USA is unfortunately just a hot spot. You couldn’t pay me to go have a visit back home now or in the future.

Please make a report what happen with the most falang withing 104 people beeing treated in the hospital.

1. How long they stay there ?

2. What kind of treatement they have ?

No country in western obligate someone to be in hospital if you are infected unless you get sick. Instead you must quarantine yourself at home.

This could scam the insurance with unnecessary cost and big money.

Many people have had it by now and many are asymptomatic.   Wish they would spend more time on why some people are immune, instead of the number that tests positive

Asymptomatic isn't defined as immune.

Still infected and can pass it on just as easy..

Were these Thais?

I guess if you are in Thailand you will do what they want, I do not think they care what virus infected countries are doing.

What ever happened to that DJ?

Did they ever trace how he contracted it, or did it get forgotten as too hard?

LGBTQ possibly, or once again the reporter and editor failed to proofread the article.

That sounds like something the US Embassy would conduct in order to trace back to the US for any further infections and testing. Sadly not happening it seems.

Are we splitting hairs?   ????

Abstract

The clinical features and immune responses of asymptomatic individuals infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) have not been well described.

There is an immune response to the virus which results in an asymptomatic

state.

And that is why it is under control as opposed to the west.

All of his contacts turned up negative. They did hundreds of tests.  They did not identify the source.

Reckon so, going by the wording: 'returning', 'home', and not mentioning Thai. Had they not been Thai, the Nation would be all over 'foreigner'. :whistling:
