Brown envelope containing 25,000 baht stolen from MP advisor's BMW

Ratanathibet police were called to Soi Samakhee in Muang district of Nonthaburi yesterday after two vehicles had their windows smashed. 

 

Parked outside the "Lamor Steakhouse" was a damaged Vigo pick-up. Nothing was taken from this vehicle. 

 

A BMW 320D had a back window smashed.

 

A brown envelope containing 25,000 baht had been taken from the back seat.

The BMW belongs to Jessada Lamor, 34, who is an advisor to Nonthaburi MP Jirapong Songwatcharaporn.

 

He said he discovered the damage in the late morning after waking up. Both vehicles were parked outside his younger brother's steakhouse.

 

Police are studying CCTV to get a lead.

77kaoded further reported that Jessada is an architect, son of a Pak Kret mayor and part of an influential local family in Nonthaburi. 

 

Jessada plans to go into local government himself.

Can't imagine any of these guys would even get out of bed for 25,000B.....just loose change...that is why he was comfortable reporting it.

Will he have to explain where the money came from?

25k would put a bit of fuel in the BMW! Or go some way to replacing the broken window. 

 

He forgot he had spent it instead of giving it to his boss, and instead staged the broken windows, sorry but that's my take on it.

That is bad new, the money must have been destined for merits making and to be shared among the poor and the needy of this city, what a horrible loos, hopefully it will be replaced soon....

25,000 Baht can come from anywhere. Hardly an amount to justify the source.

Rumours abound that many MPS have Mia Noys who live on brown envelope money. An MP could hardly bring his Mia Noy's money indoors for his wife to see.

Typo

Influential family a little bit less influential now but he does want to go into politics that should make up the shortfall in no time. I suppose whoever donated the 25,00 could be hit up again if the deal hasn't already been finalised !

Not really, at least not for the man who gave him the money, as he will have to pay it again now !

Someones monthly payment~looks like they will have to pay again~bummer, he was likely wasted and spaced it

A very easy fix to the problem would be, to put the money in a different coloured envelope.

Everybody knows what's in a brown envelope.

Who would suspect money in a pink or purple envelope? Not even your wife. 555
