Atarax for sleep problems

Featured Replies

I've tried this on and off for years after being refused the real stuff that works

The next day has always been worse than a bad sleep, but the have insisted on taking higher doses the past week which have worked and still felt ok the next day

How long will these go on working? Is it a case of stopping them and accepting sleepness nights again, or keep upping the dose?

Have you tried melatonin instead?, Atarax hangover is a bit much

no as i've heard it doesn't do a lot, also not sure if it can be got hold of as easily and cheaply..

If you take them every single night then yes, they will stop working or not work as well and you can only up the dose by so much.

Best solution is, don't take every night, just sometimes.

Melatonin does work for many people, and you can easily order it from Lazada or iHerb.  Go for at least 5 mg and a reliable brand.

Geez... I read Anthrax for sleep problems... thought that would permanently fix your sleeping problem....

I used to use it as Melatonin was expensive. But now, I'm rich and buy the melatonin gummies from Shoppee, they are great.

Trazadone is also good for a one off.

@Elayaam I would thoroughly recommend a book by Matthew Walker called 'Why we Sleep'. Read the review at Lazada or you can buy an e version from Amazon.

Get away from medication and discover the best natural ways of getting a great night's sleep.

just found an audiobook of this, thanks

I suggest you try a drug called Sominar. It's the same ingredient as Unisom, the top non-prescription sleep drug in the U.S. In my experience, it works a lot better than Atarax and doesn't leave you feeling nearly as bad the next day. Just make sure to start with half a pill or less.
