"Jomtien beach will be as beautiful as Pattaya" - harbor dept gear up for improvements

Manager reported that Thailand's harbor Department are gearing up to improve the beach in Jomtien with a project that will outstrip improvements made to Pattaya Beach.

 

And they hope to employ lessons learned from that in developing the sands at Jomtien.

 

Four hundred million baht was spent on Pattaya beach that is now wide and expansive, even if there are few tourists on it. 

 

But Jomtien will be an even bigger undertaking.

They plan to spend 568 million baht in two 3.5 kilometer phases.

 

Firms advising the department on what to do are now being consulted ahead of the work starting in 2022.

After a year's wait the department will then move onto Bang Saen beach where improvements are also needed. 

 

They have promised that Jomtien will be every bit as beautiful as Pattaya beach, reported Manager.

last time I looked at the water in Pattaya, there was raw sewerage floating past.  Hopefully Jomtien will miss out on that "beauty".

yep exactly..i bought at jomtien to get away from Pattaya Dont turn it into another overcrowded cesspool (that's if tourists ever return)  leave the place alone

So they will narrow the footpaths for the pedestrians and add 2 lanes for the cars !

Typical of Pattaya. It's always trying to encourage its haters, bashers, doomsayers, whingers, moaners, finger-pointers, cynics etc. to bug.ger off. Benevolently encouraging, that is, in their own best interests, to find happiness in, say, the paradise of Cambodia where they're truly loved just for being their lovable selves.

 

So if Pattaya detects your puckered sphincter walking near the beach it'll immediately send a turd floating by, to become the subject of a later rant in TVF. Love Pattaya and it'll love you back. ????

Did your "friends" warn you about that? Ladyboys prefer Pattaya. 

When was Pattaya Beach beautiful? I have been here since 1994 and Jomtien Beach has always been cleaner and looking quite good.

    I'm looking at it right now and it's indeed beautiful and expansive.  There was a crew of about 10 out this morning, dressed in orange, cleaning the beach along with the red and yellow tractor beach cleaning thing that goes out every morning.  Plenty of trees, despite the false reports that they have all been chopped down.  The promenade is wide and clean and very popular around 5pm with joggers and walkers.  The new drainage project has been handling most rains with little or no flooding.  I imagine Jomtien Beach will be very nice when it is done, too.

Last time I swam in the sea near Jomtien, around March this year, I encountered a floating condom and lots of other filth. For a clean beach you need to go to the military beach near Bangsaray.

OMG nothing worse than swimming and seeing Richard III float by.

they still cant accept its going back to the jungle status just fit for apes and snakes

Is the Pattaya beach still there or has it been flushed into the sea already? I haven't been since they put more sand in there.
