Think about how he knelt at Putin's feet in Helsinki and then try and convince the rest of us how Trump is one of the guys that should be on Mt Rushmore, much less even in the Oval Office at all. He loves to compare himself to Abraham Lincoln...you really think Lincoln would have "played down" the pandemic while he openly stirs up a massive panic over mail in ballots (talk about a total lack of perspective and a hypocrite)...or bow down to Vladimir Putin in front of the entire world because he can not acknowledge that maybe his election was not totally on the up and up and Russia aided that outcome? Do not lie to us and yourself, of course Lincoln would not have. Lincoln would have told the American people what they needed to know when they needed to know it to protect themselves, their families and our Union....and he would have told Putin to go "F" himself in an eloquent and historic way that I do not have the gift of words to illustrate. Lincoln would have met the moment on all accounts. Trump has failed in spectacular fashion on all accounts and currently lies in a hospital bed, a victim of his own hubris, praying to a God he probably has not spoken to in a lifetime, that he is spared being placed on a ventilator that he was slow to order and forced Governors in March and April to bid against themselves for...hoping he is not in a coma by Columbus Day. We as Americans deserve better...

Let's get real. If he survives and the odds are that he will (though quite possibly damaged), there is zero chance that he will ever apologize for any of his criminally irresponsible behavior around the virus, or anything else. That's not who he is. It amazes me that after all this time and the total chaos horror show of his presidency that anyone maintains a scintilla of hope that he will magically become someone he is incapable of being.

 

About his current health condition, it's obvious we aren't being told the truth. As stated in this editorial, the president's health at such times is a constitutional issue.

Biden's decision is the right decision both as a reflection of who he is and also as a wise political decision to contrast a truly decent man vs. a truly horrible one.

I agree people that should not wish him dead. That is truly unseemly.  I have not done that. I do wish him resigned or soundly rejected by the voters though. That said, I think it's perfectly reasonable for people to be discussing what might happen if this president becomes more permanently incapacitated or indeed dead. He is not just one private man. He is the most powerful leader in the world. Totally unfit as he is for that role (before his sickness, obviously more so now) he still does occupy it.

The president of the USA is just recenty sick and there is no way of knowing

what is in his future for at least 48 more hours. This is a serious matter and now

the president and first lady will know first hand what it feels like to have civid 19.

  I do hope they both recover from it and are wiser from the experience.

   I hope that all people in the USA, see how covid can spread, and are more
