Trump is being treated with steroids.

 

I’ve been treated with steroids for a lung disease, they are a very powerful therapy that very rapidly suppress inflammation in the lung and thereby greatly ease breathing which in itself gives an apparent improvement in health.

 

But it’s a mask, the disease is still there.

 

Don’t expect anything but a long hard slog until Trump beats the disease or the disease beats Trump.

 

There will be no ‘miraculous’ recovery, just like the virus didn’t miraculously disappear.

 

 

I have just watched the  various medical update presentations available so far and note that the mood being conveyed is being  kept very positive. I think that as part of that is the suggestion Trump may be fit enough to return to the  White House. Spin maybe? One Doctor of the enviable  "team" did mention that as part of the more usual progression of the virus in symptomatic patients is a sudden regression to a more serious state. I recall Boris  Johnston  was "doing well" until he  wasn't !

Meanwhile Pence is publicly trooping about despite being one of many in various  gatherings containing  others  who have now been  confirmed as positive infected with others almost inevitably due to join that rank.

The initial proposition that the extended members of the Trump dynasty would cover events on behalf when in reality the majority of them should be self quarantining themselves suggests a very significant level of chaos. Billie Barr has reportedly  run for  cover. More Republican Senators are likely to start falling like sacrificial  dominoes yet. If kingpin McConnell goes down what then ?

This has become a debacle that more likely than not could have been avoided !

Organ damage is never "obvious" unless you are the terminator with x-ray vision. Also for all that power and money can buy all covid drugs so far are only supportive, not curative. Time to remodel Mar a largo into a rehab/home care center.

I disagree it is often obvious. Such as with strokes a quite common result of bad cases of Covid-19. Of course I do agree not always obvious. But in that case doctors will know the truth and I have zero confidence that the public will be told the truth.
