They just keep useing sticky plasters on the real problem, and the real problem is the bodged rain water run off, and once they fix that problem, they can have a word with Mr T in Dubai because they were very successful in expanding there beaches and building the palm and the world... Oh I forgot this is TIT????

It is run off.

If you look at where the beach is washed away it is nearly always opposite one of the Sois sloping down from 2nd road.

do they have torrential rain for several months at a time in Dubai.

Hasn't anyone at the Town Hall twigged that water runs downhill.  Surely clear channels for the floods to follow could be put in place to flow directly into the sea without touching the sand.

It is an open secret that someone connected to the town's rulers has the contract for replacing the missing sand a couple of times a year.

Thais actually hate nature!

 

They either raze it to the ground and cover it with concrete, or they use it to dump their garbage.

Then, how come I meet so many ex-bargirls from times of the Vietnam War? 

Don't get mistaken. Many went back to Issan where they get quite old, and many come back to Pattaya (Dark Side) occasionally.

But I have always wondered about those who were in their 20s at the beginning of this century, most of whom were running on a cocktail of alcohol and whatever drugs you can imagine...what has happened to them?

Oh you said "TIT", tee hee.   And how much rainfall is there in Dubai?  And if you have ever actually been in Dubai during their very occasional rainstorms it wreaks absolute havoc with widespread flooding.  Every single time.  Even a minor rainstorm causes chaos there.

You need to think a bit harder before putting the Thais down.

No, this is the beach they are currently repairing (again). It actually looks pretty good when they give it a skim of sand.

They could stop the erosion by putting 1metre drain pipes from Beach road to approx 500 metres out into the ocean, then put the sand down, but no too much money to be made on kickbacks by bringing in machines all the time to fix problem, and who owns the machines????????????

They rather build things half-a$$ so they break down faster and over and over and over...which also explains why the Thai unemployment rate is less than 1 percent, actually 0.7% to be more precise. After all, someone has to fix what's broken
