BANGKOK (NNT) - The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, and Prime Minister’s Office Minister have taken part in a seminar on the topic “Thai Political Crisis: What is the Way Out”.

Prime Minister’s Office Minister Anucha Nakasai addressed the seminar by saying that differing opinions in Thai society have led to the present situation in the political sphere and expressed his opinion that as a democratic nation, all citizens in Thailand have the right to contribute their views to the larger national conversation and that decisions should not be based on the views of any individual group. He asked that all sides seek common ground so that they may utilize the country’s democracy to move it forward.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit acknowledged that Thailand is facing issues, but declined to characterize the situation as a crisis. He said that the nation’s problems are three-fold, the COVID-19 situation, economic turmoil and political turmoil, pointing out that all three issues are interrelated and inseparable from one another. He indicated the Ministry of Commerce is coping with economic matters by working with the private sector and adapting exports to the New Normal circumstances, as well as moving offline commerce online by creating hybrid businesses so as to boost export figures.

Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Puttipong Punnakanta remarked today that some online groups are using Thailand’s economic doldrums to fuel their political agenda but revealed that statistics have shown that 70-80 percent of the members of these groups are not Thai nationals and do not reside in the Kingdom, many being fake accounts. His office is taking action against these groups by filing suits against certain platforms including Facebook, Twitter and almost 2,000 other URLs.

I think that needs a bit more translation!

democracy
/dɪˈmɒkrəsi/

noun

  1. a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.
    "a system of parliamentary democracy"

    • a state governed under a system of democracy.
      plural noun: democracies
      "a multiparty democracy"
    • control of an organization or group by the majority of its members.
"the intended extension of industrial democracy"

Fortunately there is someone who can help.  His name is Thanathorn and he had a party which has helpfully changed its name.

Future Forward was reborn as the Move Forward Party.

Yes, another billionaire owner of a political party. Just the ticket!

Democracy has been taken away from everyone and replaced with the military regime, that's the problem.

To solve all of the political problem, arrest the PM, his henchmen and all those involved with the illegal 2014 military coup, then retake the photos in prison uniforms.

I would be happy at that point to sign up for a prison tourist tour.

That'd be lovely. But sadly, we live in a world where the superrich and powerful can steal, jail, and murder without much reaction from the world.

Fallen hook, line and sinker for the disgraced, criminal, lunatic conspiracy theorist Sondhi's yellow shirt propaganda I see.

And that blind ignorance is exactly why we are where we are today folks.

Funny people.. Thailand.. democracy... 555 foreign accounts... it's like they picked up a strategic plan from the communist era. Blame foreign influence who are confusing and leading the noble Thai people astray,  especially the youth. Please step back online behind the general and his crew for the good of the..  55555 Zzzzzz (might be a book from a prehistoric era too)
