In Thailand the overall death rate to date is 0.00008% which, when you really think about it, is not a great cause for concern. Compare this with the Black plague, which took out 50% of Europe,s population, and you have a relative death rate of 625,000 times more deadly. It's really taking off again in large parts of Europe, and showing signs of doing the same in the US. At the very beginning of the outbreak, when all the known cases had a tie to the same market selling wildlife, they said there was no proof at that time of/ it was not known if thete was/ human to human transmission.
