'I searched for moments where they'd be glad to see their life represented': Lashana Lynch has insisted her character in No Time To Die will be 'authentic' to realities faced by black people

No Time To Die star Lashana Lynch has insisted her character in the upcoming film will be 'authentic' to experiences faced by black people.

The actress, 32, who plays female 00 agent Nomi in the 25th Bond movie, revealed she 'searched for moments in the script where they'd be glad to see their lives represented' as she detailed her portrayal in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Alongside the publication's accompanying high-fashion shoot, the thespian said she sees her role as a step in the right direction for gender equality as she claimed the industry is 'moving away from toxic masculinity'.

The Hammersmith native, who will star in the franchise with fellow actresses Naomie Harris, Lea Seydoux and Ana de Armas, touched on mirroring the 'black experience' on camera.

I wasn't aware that a Bond movie was a vehicle for a political activist. I made the mistake of thinking it was entertainment.

If that sort of rubbish is going on in it, IMO it is the end of Bond films as a must see.

Do any movies that have political female message characters do well in making actual money?

None of the ones that came out pre corona seem to have done well.

I'm guessing the reference was to Jim Davidson's YouTube channel (that didn't take long to type) & had nothing to do with the actress Lashana Lynch but more a comment on some of his less than Politically Correct views...

I don't know why people can't just put a link to things, the rules only say don't link to the Bangkok Post, YT links are very common on here... Link to JDTV https://www.youtube.com/user/RockOnDigital/videos
