That’s a low, low bar.

Give him a break, he is trying to be nice for once in his life! ????

I'm... intrigued by the suggestion of the pet rock. Things couldn't get worse, that's for sure.

The poor chap is clueless on what laws he broke. I could mention 2 to start with, back in 2014, which are punishable by life in prison or death. Or is he that good of an actor?

"In the speech, Prayut said the country’s educational system was not bad, but it focused far too much on academics, when people should be educated about patriotism, history and loyalty."

I can see it now Academics are bad, and instead brainwashing and mind control are better.

Yes no need for schools, just re-education camps.

Clearly there is a lack of propaganda classes about patriotism, the 3 pillars and so on.  Too much academic stuff in schools.  More patriotism, history and loyalty. More more more more.

(How can school books go beyond 100% patriotism I wonder?)

Patriotism, yes; xenophobic nationalism no.

Accurate history, yes (embrace your Khmer ancestry and the might of the Burmese), embellished master-race history no.

Loyalty. To whom?

Unfortunately, sir, you just nobbled possibly the best thing to ever happen to Thailand. Greater: check, Better: check, More honest, lol.

Military coups legal now are they ?

Treason, probably one of the worst crimes a person can commit !

They’re only illegal when Unsuccessful.

Unfortunately sometimes democracy just doesn't work. Like with unruly children sometimes a strong hand is needed.

Is there a comprehensive list of what the Army owns?  It would be an interesting read....

I am not aware of any complete overview, they aren't exactly a fan of transparency... All I came across was mentionings here and there in newspapers or the political arena and various books on Thai politics/history/society mentioning it.  My bottom line conclusions is that they know how to take good care of themselves...

This man is a shame for Thailand!

He has forcibly replaced a people-elected government and is now talking he act within the law??

Is there a law in thailand that legitimizes a military coup?

There are people we can't discuss here who do make it possible.
