Sergach
Hey guys, I plan to purchase a return ticket that's different from the inbound one. It'll be under a different reservation and not to my home country. In other words when going to Thailand, I'll have 2 one way tickets on hand. One ticket is from my home country to Thailand, the other from Thailand to a third country. Could that cause a problem with COE or airport checkin? thanks
DrJack54
Why do you need onward flight? Is that part of requirements? Thinking you only require inbound flight. You enter with a visa
Sergach
Yes, I was under impression Thailand requires return ticket to grant entry, does it not?

Not with a visa and in any case it's onward travel, not return, so you will be fine.

That's only flying without visa with intention to enter Thailand visa exempt. Even then it's an airline requirement not immigration requirement. Bottom line forget about onward flight.
