khunPer
Do anyone remember the first Covid-19 case outside China? It was a Chinese man in Thailand! Just one unobserved case can be a superspreader; is the possibility of a second total lockdown worth to risk for having some tourists coming? 1 2

It shouldn't be necessary between countries that have no or very few active cases. Expecting people to quarantine is not going to resuscitate tourism. Nobody expects Thailand to open up to the countries you mention, but a quarantine free bubble with covid free countries would be a good way to reintroduce tourists to the country. With a vaccine just around the corner, the risks are not so great if tourism is currently contained to a select few countries, but not just China. they are destroyers not reformers..To expected

Averaging around 20 a day in Saudi right now, population 35 million. I would say they're doing an excellent job. Life is as normal. Infections are low. Deaths are very low. And the economy is not shutdown.

Westerners, farangs and the similar sorts are dirty, pesky, infected and have no money. The rest of the world simply does not exist, as far as Thailand is concerned. So yes, just their Chinese paymasters exist, then. It's the exact reason the Prayut administration is not fit to serve Thai nationals. They are turning Thailand into a Chinese province

According to Jon Ioannidis' peer reviewed study accept by the WHO, the ifr is .23% (.05% for people under 70 years of age), so the survival rate is 99.77%. It's a colossal overreaction. https://www.who.int/bulletin/online_first/BLT.20.265892.pdf

They are worried that the chinese tourists will become infected abroad and take the virus back to China . They seem to be more careful than ... To the many posters here who wish for quarantine to be abolished ... don't you see what is going on in the world ? Exponential growth of infections about everywhere , and still many believe that the virus is nothing but a hoax ? Go and visit a hospital in the US or Uk , or France , Spain , Italy , India etc ... I don't think anyone believes the covid19 flu is a hoax. Its more the illogical reaction to it, and hence a differing of opinion - Yes the C19 flu infection rates are ongoing, but what are the deaths FROM this virus, not death With as we all know this is flawed. As for hospitals, in the UK they are not overflowing with cases, the Nightingale hospitals were never and are not being used, indeed a nurse has recently publicly resigned whist providing evidence that the hospital she worked in only have 4 covid19 flu patients - but yet the hospital had cancelled all routine medical services and she had little to do for the last 3 weeks. Doctors all over the world are speaking out against the measure taken to combat this Covid19 flu. So its both the method of combat and the false information and over reporting that folk are disagreeing with, not the existence of the virus itself - I would have though that was easy to understand?

Not sure what your point is, but for sure, more testing means more cases. And doctors know a lot more now so treatment is better, so less people die, and now more younger people have it now in the Uk, so less people die.
