Every 'political reality' is temporary, as you know. Harold was right that "5 minutes is a long time in politics"

Well Trump and the ‘Anglosphere’ are things of the past.

The Irish telling the English to do what America wants while budgie smuggler Abbot is in UK to show them how Australia survives with no deals to the EU .....that's my laughs for the day

The Irish can not tell the English what to do.

The Scottish can not tell the English what to do.

But when one of them want to leave they can not, because they are part of the UK.

Could it be more hypocrite?

No. If you read what I said you might be able to work out who I was referring to. Maybe.

Trump certainly wasn’t, nor were the Brexiteers dreams of an Anglosphere:

So Cummings is finally being ousted.  It was clear that the current government couldn't go on in the chaos that has been created.  Johnson had little choice as there was a full scale mutiny about to happen.

And Johnson is by no means secure.

Nobody does an internecine backstabbing knife fight like the Tories.

neither of them represent the UK, however, splitting The North from the UK would certainly  not preserve the Good Friday Agreement for "loyalists".

Unless.. these "loyalists" discover, the No Deal Brexit hits them too hard in their wallet.

Ah just sucking up to the Irish by 'protecting' the Good Friday agreement that was possibly not even under threat.

Desperate to appear influential......oh dear and the Irish PM jumps on the bandwagon

Meanwhile back in the real world Boris is negotiating a deal with the EU.

I believe it was the Pope that Biden was sucking up to, much more likely.

You equate loyalists with intelligence and reason. They are controlled by nutty fire and brimstone preachers.  ????

Might be. But everybody with some brain would see that Boris ' ego is much more important than the future of Britain. He is definetely the British Trump, an erratic clown trying to fit in a role.

A deal with the Bloc is the only alternative way for UK to survive. Law breaking and cherry picking is over. ????

Aren't you from the EU part of Ireland........?............????

Who does Britain need to turn to?

Not many left, they left the EU, and now the US is aligned with the EU. The negotiating position for the UK is weak. Maybe Russia or China to turn to. They have to bend over to someone to get a trade deal as they are weaker and getting weaker.

BJ has not kept any of his promises about the easy and good deal. Looks like he will have to sell a bad deal as a victory. I am sure all the Brexiteers on this forum will haul the deal as great once its reached as not to lose too much face.

They will claim victory just like Trump did and its as believable.  Its funny actually Trump supporters and Brexiteers are of the same make.

You haven't realised yet that your posts deserve only a one line reply from me, but at least you haven't slagged of Brits today, well done.....:clap2:

The Irishman is filling his nappy. Ireland is going down the toilet! I doubt your German masters will come to your aid...

Rob the UK is a market many would countries would not wish to ignore, including the EU, but if they feel pride cannot allow them to trade with a former member unless it is on their terms - so be it - there are others

The UK may well have to adapt, one thing is sure, it will, people are still passing through Europe to get to live and work in the UK. Investors and financial people are aware of the real possibility of a no deal. The GBP has not suffered anywhere near as much as those who pour scorn would envisage.

Life in the UK will be fine, Europe? the fight for survival is already under way

tell him to keep his gob shut  bojos in  charge so its all wind ..

just like WW2 when the irish were in hitlers pocket .still the same old same old

The pound is worth 13% less vs. the Euro than it was in May 2016. Not a problem in itself, but other economic indicators suggest that Brexit has had - and is having - a detrimental effect on the UK economy

Easy, the EU would have walked and closed the door years ago ???? it didn't

Very few people - if any - have claimed that most EU member states' economies will not be negatively affected by 'no deal'.

Is this the old 'They need us, more than we need them' argument? Again, where's the evidence to support that view?
