Can anyone recommend a small air compressor something like below.

image.png.0ad0290fae20fc53f582aaa207656794.png

Really only want it for blowing debris out of areas hard to clean, ie door rails and maybe also bike engines, and possibly to clean some fish pond filters.

I've seen a few online and in Thai Watsadu starting about 5-6K but a few recommendations would be good as i don't recognise any of the brands.

The Chinese ones are all much of a muchness.

We have a Puma 3HP similar to this

https://www.globalhouse.co.th/product/detail/2950250002525

works just fine for the sort of stuff you want to do.

It's a little undersized for a spray-gun but works the air-nailer very nicely. My air-brush hardly wakes it up.

It's also brilliant for inflating the 1,000,000 balloons Madam requires for Xmas/New Year parties.

The turbine pumps are the way to go for you so while @Crossy one will work it is loud, as is yours. The type that @kiteman9 showed is much quieter so more suited to your needs.

Yeah, we definitely know when it's running.

Thank you chaps, are the 3HP ones light enough to wheel around or lift?

I have a little Genset that's a ball ache to shift about, need a little mod to put wheels and handles on it ( similar to wheel barrow ).

Interesting, never thought of that, would probably do the job.

..and by switching the nozzle can be used as an impromptu vacuum for cleaning out AC condensate pipes!

I think that at least ½ the soi also knows if not all of it. ????

I recently bought a Polo air compressor, 3hp but uses oil. I didn't understand how a motor can be oil free, anyway it's pretty loud. I heard it running in the store but not till I had it home and started up near the wall did I understand just how loud.

I can certainly wheel around my big compressor but lifting it needs my crane or 4 people and I’m not sure how many HP it is but maybe 393A83A6E-3C62-41C7-B5EB-70D04D49AE19.thumb.jpeg.9f9085f622ac5926ab7e2418ed317dd0.jpeg

I bought 1 for around 3k on Lazada. Works great with nail gun, spray wood stain, tyres inflatables etc. Easy to wheel or pick up and carry.

Similar to this.......

That is not a 3 HP compressor, only the label.

This is the PP32 yes? I think it's 2hp and puts out almost 12 CFM. I've been looking at it and think it's about the best value going for a compressor that will truly keep up with a spray gun. Wish it came in a vertical configuration....

How do you like it?

It will easily keep up with any spray gun I have with probably around a 30% duty cycle, so could probably deal with 3 guns at 1 time, it will spray regular latex with a very slight (5% probably) dilution using a 2mm tip. This is the current paint and project.

I have no need to dilute the polyurethane.

I have a couple of filters in line that don’t effect the flow or pressure available I have about 20 ~ 30 metres of air hose on it.
Do not use the plain air hose as they will rot. When new they are OK but after a couple of years will harden and be worse than useless and much more expensive than starting with re-enforced pipe.

For mobile pump to filter I use 13mm then to the gun I use either a 5 x 8mm or the 7 x 10mm (all re-enforced) showing, so far I haven’t had any of those fail6EA0C1D1-1005-4FC5-886A-4E8E45FB7C44.thumb.jpeg.6a6ca6747c3f8ef309a979875fccb834.jpeg

Just to ask... what is wrong with electric compressor?  I have never owned either but thinking about electric one to fill tires and air sprayer.

What do you mean? Both my compressors are electric.

I got the impression from posts that talk about noise that gas engines were used.  Are the electric ones noisy?

I’ve not seen a petrol or LPG powered compressor, you didn’t look at the pictures?
yes the cylinder types are very noisy, the newer “silent” ones much less so.

It is typically the compressor that makes the noise, not the motor.

Yours is the PP32 yes? How loud is it? Should not be that loud...

What pressure do it shut down at? Have you tried adjusting it?

Is that a gravity or siphon gun?

I have 100' each of 5/8" & 3/8" nice Goodyear air-line. I'll likely pipe the shop with 3/4" GA.

Yes the PP32. It’s only not to loud because I’ve added a sound deadening enclosure, but even so don’t try a conversation within 3 meters, probably not in the same room, but with the enclosure hearing protection is no longer mandatory. ????

The bit under is not a quote, it’s the screwed up system software and its eating my reply’s

I have gravity (1.5mm) tip and smaller, 2 or 3 siphon guns 1.7 ~ 2 mm, a couple of air brushes and a pressure fed expensive gun (quite a few hundred $) with a variety of needles and tips that is on a pressure pot at the moment, most will be happy at around 20 ~30 psi and under

What are these strange numbers, and what is the construction of them.

It's an industrial grade rubber hose . I've been using it at the plant for about 20 years and ordered a couple spools before I retired.

I've never sprayed latex with anything but an airless. I have a nice siphon finish gun, but I'm in the market for a decent gravity gun for primer and what-not.
