It does and it doesn't. 

However, over the years it occurs to me that many Brits that think the toxic movement of Mr. Trump is exactly the same as theirs are very mistaken.

The American movement is much more extremist. In the USA to support a health care program such as is a beloved institution in the U.K. is labelled "communist" by the Mr. Trump's fans. They have some things in common of course though, the xenophobia and white nationalism, etc.

Wow. So busy here since I left. Thanks for all the personal insults, judgements, accusations and twists in the meantime.

 

For the record:

 

I am a Brexiteer, I am not a racist, I am not even a Trump fan. I am happy to read and quote "respected" or mainstream media but most have been rather quiet on this topic. 

 

But like it or not, there are far too many red flags out there about this election and what is important is that all the votes are legal and counted fairly and squarely.
