The European Commission (v.d Leyen & Barnier) has been mandated by The Council of Ministers (EU HoS) and the European Parliament to negotiate Brexit on its' behalf. Any deal that the Commission brokers with the UK will then have to be agreed to by the individual member states. 

 

Wallonia is a province of Belgium. Luke will correct me if I am wrong, but under Belgium's constitution the three Belgium provinces have to agree to these sorts of deals. (Wallonia nearly vetoed the proposed Ttip agreement until it was 'encouraged' to reconsider it's position)

If you ever dealt with Tesco at a level beyond a trolley full of groceries you will know what I mean.  They will happily drive their suppliers into the ground for pennies.

Thank God the Tories are in power. We can, of course, rely upon them to put the poorest in society at the forefront of all their policies, and battle those tax avoiding corporations, with their aim of exploitation of the working class down to the benefit of their shareholders.
