Again you you are a another I do not agree with, what you post is nothing but speculation nobody knows what the outcome will be.

All I know I knew from the start with Boris coming into a job he didn't really want knew all along there would be a no deal scenario.

I'm afraid that if you think that Boris never wanted the PM job, you have little knowledge of UK politicians.

  • You have that the wrong way round. The Eu's position was made clear before the referendum. Its you Brexiteers who couldnt make your mind up as to what Brexit actually meant.

Is this the 'oven ready', 'easiest deal in history', 'able to be negotiated over a cup of tea in an afternoon' trade deal these charlatans were selling to the British public all those years ago?

  • So Boris now faces these two choices......   1. Accept a deal, annoying the ERG, who will then remove him from office.   2. Accept a no deal, selling the whole of the UK down the r

Where, what and who is Wallonia? It now sounds like some guy there will veto any agreement if it crosses his red lines. Did Boris have dinner with the monkey when he should have gone to see the real organ grinder. (That's not even Angela Merkel!)

The European Commission (v.d Leyen & Barnier) has been mandated by The Council of Ministers (EU HoS) and the European Parliament to negotiate Brexit on its' behalf. Any deal that the Commission brokers with the UK will then have to be agreed to by the individual member states.

Wallonia is a province of Belgium. Luke will correct me if I am wrong, but under Belgium's constitution the three Belgium provinces have to agree to these sorts of deals. (Wallonia nearly vetoed the proposed Ttip agreement until it was 'encouraged' to reconsider it's position)

why, why and why, it's done, no need to waste more time, let them go, look at your last Sunday meeting, both said the same thing

But you Brexiteers knew what you were voting for.

Please enlighten us mere humans as to what exactly you envision the future of the UK to be.

Well doom and gloom, suicides, killings of remainers and death to anyone who doesn't agree to an Englishman like me of course what else do you expect.

A scary thought. After a conversation about Brexit with Von Der Leyen the last thing I'd want to see on my plate would be some dry, haggard, skanky fish.

Boris is taking one for the team. Top man!

Freedom is nothing left to loose ...

How sad, so you are a looser then.

Freedom is something you fight for yourself and a United country.

Responding to a warning from the Tesco chair that food prices could rise were a deal not to be agreed, Mr Raab acknowledged there could be "some bumps along the road" but said he was "not concerned about either supermarket cupboards running bare or food prices". (Source: www.bbc.co.uk)

This Tory government's usual 'do nothing' approach to matters.

The good news just keeps on coming:

"The Confederation of British Industry said the cost of no deal was "significant".

Its director-general, Tony Danker, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "The difference between a deal and no deal is incredibly real in GDP [gross domestic product] terms, it's incredibly real for businesses - particularly in certain sectors..." (Source: www.bbc.co.uk)

'No deal, no problem'.  We just close our eyes really, really tightly and wish really, really, really hard that things turn out ok....Hold it... I seem to have stumbled upon the Johnson government's industrial strategy post-transition.

Tesco doesn't set government policy thankfully.

If you ever dealt with Tesco at a level beyond a trolley full of groceries you will know what I mean.  They will happily drive their suppliers into the ground for pennies.

I'm not surprised they are Pro EU. A horrible company to deal with.

Nevertheless, they are a major retailer and know their markets; therefore, it is informed opinion.

Given his response, it doesn't appear that Raab feels like it's his job to be involved in setting government policy either!

Raab doesn't shop at Tesco, he shops at Waitrose, the same one as me.  But he is just a nodding dog reading from a script like the rest of them.

Tesco looks after Tesco.

They're likely covering their future unethical position such as raising fuel prices to consumers within minutes of global oil prices rising despite them having massive stocks at the old price.

In the event of No Deal you can expect them to raise their prices immediately on European stock purchased months ago.

And all you Remainers will be dancing in the streets celebrating like the mugs that you are. You'll be loving the fact that a massive globalist corporation like Tesco is profiting from the situation at the expense of the poorest in society just so you can say "I told you so".

Celebrating the difficulties experienced by the real working classes that you claim to represent (but secretly despise) because they dared to vote for Brexit. The Emily Thornberry's of Thaivisa. What a sad shower you lot are ????.

Thank God the Tories are in power. We can, of course, rely upon them to put the poorest in society at the forefront of all their policies, and battle those tax avoiding corporations, with their aim of exploitation of the working class down to the benefit of their shareholders.

Further thanks to god that the good guy Tories defeated Corbyn! That capitalist pig dog would have slashed taxes for the richest and cut services to the poor. Thankfully, Johnson and Mogg are standing up daily for their fellow proles.

What us truly, truly sad is that there are people from working class backgrounds who vote tory. I hope they realise what the rest of us actually think of them.

And of course you are in Thailand getting paid in Thai baht which, because of the depreciation of the pound, means that your outlays in the UK are now far cheaper.

Physician heal thyself.

If you were so worried about the working class you would never have supported Brexit because its them who are going to suffer because of it.

it's safe to say now that a soft Brexit is not going to happen,

let's see how Boris is going to announce it on Sunday, should be a good laugh ????

All that may be true, but it still doesn't alter the fact that they are a major retailer who have highlighted potential problems in the event of a 'No deal'. As usual, you ignore the point in question.

Says the bloke who likes nothing more than trying to rub up pro-EU posters the wrong way!

Given that my immediate future is tied up in the UK, why would I want it to fail? Unlike you, I don't do 'self-harm' in order to prove a point. However, again unlike you, I don't sweep problems under the carpet.

You don't like communists or socialists and now you don't appear to like capitalists much either. Not many places left to go.

You know nothing about me. I was born working class but, fortunately, don't fit into that income bracket now. However, I haven't forgotten my roots.

How about you? Comfortable upbringing in the shires, perhaps? No need to mix with these foreign types when you were growing up? Best if we avoid them, eh?

The real problems are that you 'hard' Brexiters won't face facts and take no responsibility or accountability for the mess that the UK now finds itself in. Getting on for 5 years after the UK voted 'Leave', the UK government still has no idea or plan for what happens post-transition. The best that the clown you praise endlessly has to offer industry is a statement today that "business should make preparations for a "No deal'". Twenty days before we sever our ties with our biggest trading partner and that's the best that our PM can offer? Pathetic.

I like the sarcastic humor of Mrs. von der Leyen : a fish menu, when fish/fishing is a problem in the negotiations.

Come on Brexit. Snails pace, too much dithering, just leave already..

Why !!  The reason is clear the EU doesn't want UK to leave and hoping the UK will give in to what they propose because EU will never except what the UK proposes the EU still wants a degree of control when the UK leaves which is something the UK doesn't want the UK wants freedom.

Hope that's clear enough.

I don't know why such a logical deduction about EU does not appear to some, so they keep blaming it for the Brexit mess, let me try again:

You can't be out of EU but then kind of in where and when it suits you, it just doesn't work and doesn't make sense...!

No matter what load of bulls the Brexit leaders say or feed into people to fool them, it's not logical or make sense, have your cake and eat it... ! Like I want to be in a football team but only for the games that we win and I can score a lot of goals, but leave me out for hard loosing games...!!!!? ????

EU is bending backwards to accommodate UK, somehow , with some tricks that probably many think it's absurd and don't like it, but still our good old Brexit leaders refuse..., then the only possible solution is exit with no agreement, get on with it already...., have some balls, do it and face the consequences.... ???? ???? ????

The UK doesnt want to be partly in the E.U though .

The UK are in the process of making trade deals with numerous Countries in the World , the E.U is just one of those deals being made .
