Thai media Thai Rath said that three people on a motorcycle had cheated death in a miracle escape after they were all run over by a truck-trailer at an intersection at night in Chachoengsao in the east of Thailand.

COVID-19 among returnees from Thachilek is the highly infectious G-strain

COVID-19 carried by returnees from Myanmar’s Thachilek township has been identified as the G strain of the virus, which is easily transmitted and causes more severe symptoms than other strains, said Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of Disease Control Department, today (Saturday).

No 14-day quarantine for visitors returning from Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai

BMTA gets Cabinet nod to develop its lands for market, mixed-use projects

Bangkok air pollution at unsafe levels

Air pollution in Bangkok's 38 districts hit dangerous levels on Saturday morning with PM2.5 (particulate matter less than 2.5 micrometres in diameter) readings coming in at 39 to 72 micrograms per cubic metre (μg/m3), the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Air Quality and Noise Management Division reported.

Border patrolling tightened in Narathiwat to prevent illegal migrants

South Korea reports record 950 cases in COVID-19 'emergency'

SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea reported a record 950 daily coronavirus cases on Saturday, exceeding the late February peak of 909, with the president calling the country's third wave of COVID-19 an "emergency".

Warmer weather forecast for upper Thailand with fog in the morning

Bangkok enjoys a clear sky on Sunday morning.

 

Rising temperature, as well as morning fog, thick in some areas, are forecast as a weak high-pressure system covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. However, most of the North would be cool to cold, while mountaintops would be cold to very cold, the Thailand Meteorological Department said.
