Washing Machine /Clothes Dryer repairs/service recommendation

Featured Replies

Know anyone/company that will check out Washing Machine /Clothes Dryer? Both out of warranty.

Thanks

Normally the maker has authorized service centers than can send someone to check and actually be able to obtain required parts.  Thailand does not have much in the way of spare parts for anything so those working totally independently are at a great disadvantage so if suspect more than a simple fuse/relay/motor issue it is often better to pay the service fee upfront and have someone with some knowledge and access to parts attempt the repairs.  FYI:  dryers are very uncommon here as the sun shines almost every day (although could qualify that a bit for burning season).

I believe Siam TV, around the mote will come out to your location and do a check.    I believe they charge 300 baht for their trip to your home.    Might help to have the make (and model) number of the machine to make sure they service that brand.    I know a friend that used them a couple times and things worked out okay.    They found the problem, ordered the part, and came back to install it.

If they are electronic and you have been using them ungrounded, repairs may not be worth it.

Have a technician coming tomorrow.

Will advise accordingly. if anyone is interested. Both machines had been serviced before, simply the previous technician has moved away.

The first washing machine we bought was from a vendor mentioned in this thread. When they left I discovered that the ground prong had been ripped out of the power cord even though we have grounded outlets. Upon calling they claimed that they did not rip out the prong even though you could see the remains of the prong. I suspect we got a model returned by someone that did not have grounded outlets. They refused to replace the power cord so I did it myself as the last thing we needed was a fried mother board. We do not trust that vendor for service nor have we bought anything from them again.
