Surelynot Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Just to add a sour note (as is my won't) I find some very famous, much lauded comedians totally not funny. I won't name them here for fear of retribution....but does anyone else have a stand-out, not funny, famous comedian? Edited December 19, 2020 by Surelynot

Actually yes, I never found Tommy Cooper funny, just annoying, yet many raved about him. Each to their own.???? 3

Nout Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 There are so many contemporary excellent comedians we do not need to dredge the past. Micky Flanagan, Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr, Sean Locke to name just a few. 2 1
OneeyedJohn Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 I am related to 'cheekie chappie' aka Max Miller, I think he is my great Uncle. Anyway I have the same love of inuendo as him. 1
worgeordie Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Billy Connolly, The little waster Bobby Thompson, a Geordie comedian Bernard Manning..he would not be allowed into days World of PC. I really do like Pakistanis ...but I could not eat a whole one. Modern UK comedians very few i find funny at all.British comedy is not as good as it used to be. regards worgeordie Edited December 19, 2020 by worgeordie add on 1
Popular Post Pilotman Posted December 19, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 19, 2020 Billy Connolly before his illness over took him, Now, it's got to be a choice between Micky Flanagan and Jim Jeffries. Depends of course on what mood I am in, because I do find the likes of Tom Allan and Graham Norton funny, at times, but in small doses. 3
