Seven seafood dishes were served to members of the Cabinet for lunch on Tuesday to prove that Covid-19 cannot be transmitted via seafood.

The dishes served up on Tuesday were barbequed prawn, spicy prawn soup, stir-fried squid with shrimp paste, deep-fried sea bass with fish sauce, stir-fried shrimp with holy basil leaves, stir-fried squid with salted eggs and crab fried rice.

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said eating seafood is not worrisome provided it is properly cooked.

Meanwhile, PM’s Office Minister Anucha Nakasai said the lunch menu focused on seafood to prove it can be consumed without fear of Covid-19.

People have been concerned about consuming seafood after the central shrimp market in Samut Sakhon proved to be the source of a recent outbreak.

after what happened to the Governor and Anutin the other day, you'd have thought they'd learn their lesson

but no.. ????‍♂️

Now, what's the incubation period?

I want to go to the next all-you-can-eat seafood buffet too. These guys just want free food.

For some reason this makes me think of the movie, Jaws.  The part when the mayor encouraged members of the local council and their families to go and swim in the water.  That ended well!

Anything that's cooked is Covid free.

Let's ask if the cooks, servers and other 'handlers' of the final dishes, tables and etc were completely sanitised prior to serving up the dishes.

At this point, given the lack of demand, stocks are probably less safe as they've sat around and are not fresh anymore.

Local seafood sauce can probably kill just about anything, even the taste of shrimp that's gone off.

Ah the memories of the rush to shrimp buffet by tourists.

Yum.

The government trying to do the right thing to promote and restore confidence in the Thai seafood Industry. Not a bad thing. Good on them.

Now I look forward to reading the 5 pages of negativity on this forum.

Meanwhile farangistan one leader is promoting bleach and UV light up the but, another is going around forcing handshakes in a covid ward, and five of them have ignored covid rules and contracted and spread it themselves.

You forgot to mention they have also created the vaccines you'll be taking, saving the world from your evil, no morality Sino leaders. You really have a hard on for the US. Were you rejected for a tourist visa or something?
