Deputy PM Supattanapong Punmeechaow

The Public-Private Partnership Committee has called on state agencies to speed up the development of 18 top-priority mega-projects worth Bt472 billion as part of the government’s efforts to drive the economy this year.

The committee is chaired by Deputy PM Supattanapong Punmeechaow.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob said the ministry has already asked related agencies like the National Economic and Social Development Council for their opinions on its many projects.

He added that the State Railway of Thailand is expected to call bids for the Tao Poon-Ratburana Purple Line mass transit route in the next quarter.

Starting those MEGA-projects would need a lot of infected migrant workers so i see a new spike in infections if these projects will be approved . It's really one hand washing the other with these money horney companies helping eachother getting richer and richer without any care about what will happen to their own people that are getting hit over and over again by all the restrictions and closures and not caring about new infections sitting in their ivory towers .

The dire state of Thai journalism in this "article"

The dire state of the Nation, who stopped printing last year because they were losing too much money.

Usually lack critical details, often factually wrong and three or four days behind the others.

i find the “other one” quite a good informative read.

Pretty sure that will involve an importing a new mass of 'infected blame game' migrants

So where are all the legal migrant workers coming from to do most of the menial work??? Not from Cambodia at the moment as such legal workers are LEAVING Covid-19 ridden Thailand. For reference (today's Khmer Times):-

"The Health Ministry, said 12,088 Cambodian migrant workers in Thailand had returned between December 20 and January 7."

Maybe some of the currently unemployed Thais should get their hands dirty for a change!
