The alleged kingpin behind the Forex-3D ponzi scheme was arrested Friday morning at a luxury condo in the Thong Lo area of the Thai capital Bangkok.

Apirak has been on the run for over a year hiding in Singapore and Malaysia, said DSI director-general Pol Lt-Col Korawat Panpraphakorn. The suspect entered Thailand through a natural border with Cambodia at the end of last October.

A friend helped him with renting a condo to stay in.

The suspect was caught after he tried to sell an orange Lamborghini that he had changed to blue color. Police conducted a sting and the man who was sent with the car was nabbed in Kaset leading to Apirak.

Apirak remained tight lipped and intended to fight the matter in court.

Losses in the scheme are thought to be well in excess of a billion baht. Hundreds of millions in asset seizures have already taken place while the suspect was abroad.

He claims that he runs Forex trading companies with 60,000 members in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai, reported Sanook.

A billion Baht!

This could perhaps be a contender for Bluesofa's recently developed law of sarcasm regarding Thai justice: The size of the brown envelope is inversely proportional to the speed of justice.

Not any more!!!

There you go...who would have thought a plain blue car would be more obvious than a garish orange one ?

Ah! The old Lamborghini, the scam artist's car par excellence.

A 200 mph wasp if he'd painted it yellow and black ..

Wanted in Thailand and returns to Thailand. Obviously he has the cash in hand and the authorities are just shaking the tree.
