Accidents with cranes on construction sites happen all over the world even in countries with reputedly superior health and safety procedures. It is often the case that members of the public and/or their property are victims; not in this case thankfully.

Crane and lifting accidents are extremely common in Thailand as are resultant fatalities and injuries.

Thailand does not have a good track record when it comes to Health and Safety and is light years behind the UK in this regard.

 - but so much for the supposed practice of removing all watches/rings /jewellery/trinkets whilst on a work site!!
