Best Thai market

Featured Replies

I need to buy a large (deep) saucepan. The cheaper the better. Can anybody tell me the best Thai market for this (or a likely shop).

Go to a supermarket where the prices are marked.

Forget 'going to markets' its so nineties now, get on to Lazada and Shopee and you will find there more stuff there than any markets in Thailand fair price and home deliveries too...

This market (with green covers on front currently) probably Best place to get dishes and other things for cooking at low prices. A lot of all kinds of stuff.

Try the huge hotel supplies store, directly behind Big C on Second Road.

It's full of cheap and nasty Chinese made pots and pans.

Cheap won't last, it'll warp and then you'll use extra electricity or gas due to poor heat transfer.

I was going to suggest avoiding that place as most of their hardware would blow away in a slight breeze. Heavier duty stuff might be found on a run North on Sukhumvit, from Klang, taking in Index, Boonthavorn and Homepro.

^^^ I agree. Home Pro has loads of discounted items these days. I would not buy any cheap and nasty pans from China. You will hate the smell and look of a Chinese pan the first time you season it. Been there, done that, binned that.

The same place.
Yes, I would try it there too. It has reopened after some renovations.

Thank you for all your suggestions. The pan was never going to used in conventional cooking only as  a receptacle for a water bath (sous vide).
