  • The last 4 years has been a democratic witch hunt, 'healing' the country with yet another impeachment is just the latest vindictive hypocritical attack.

  • No, it's a traitor hunt, and 45 is the traitor.  About that there is no doubt.   -45 DELIBERATELY changed the date for his terrorist base to meet to 6 Jan, the day of the vote certification

In the middle of the terrorist attack, McCarthy had called the former president to demand he call off the attack on the capitol.

"In an expletive-laced phone call with House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy while the Capitol was under attack, then-President Donald Trump said the rioters cared more about the election results than McCarthy did."  At one point McCarthy asked the former president, "Just who the f*** do you think you're talking to?!?"

This is not disputed. This conversation is a fact with witnesses eager to testify under oath. This tells us that the former president knew exactly what he caused and he was rooting for the terrorists.

Anyone who can understand this and continue to defend the former president's actions cannot call themselves an American.

Unless there is an audio file of the call, it is easily disputed.  Having witnesses eager to testify under oath means nothing as was shown in a dispute over election results.

Anyone who has US citizenship can call themselves and American whether or not they support President Trump.

-45 DELIBERATELY changed the date for his terrorist base to meet to 6 Jan, the day of the vote certification in Congress

-45 maintained the lie of 'fraud' even from before the election and all the way until legitimate and fairly elected President Biden took office

-45 speech was absolutely intended to send the terrorist mob to the Capitol

-45 knew the mob was carrying weapons like baseball bats...45 isn't blind, he saw what they had

-45, seeing how riled and armed his mob was, knew full well they would be violent

-45 used 'fight' 377 times in his speech, according to the House Managers

-45 refused to call off the mob even after they broke into the Capitol...it was LIVE on TV

-45 Tweeted disparaging comments about Pence knowing Pence was under threat (according to Sen tuberville and his call to 45)

-45 refused House Minority Leader McCarthy's plea for help, both calling off the mob and calling out the National Guard, even TWO HOURS into the terrorist attack

Those are the FACTS.

45 is a traitor to the US.

Excellent summary - just to add to your point that not only was it live on TV, the President and his family were shown watching it and cheering it on.

15 (R) Senators failed to attend the Thursday trial.

If these 15 (R) Senators didn't think a trial about a POTUS inciting insurrection against the United States was important enough to attend, perhaps they will fail to attend the jury deliberations.  If so, the entire calculus changes.  Conviction requires a supermajority, which is 67%

(100-15) x .67 rounds to 57. Thus, since 50 (D) are likely to vote for conviction, only 7 (R) would need to vote for conviction.

Let's hope these 15 (R)s continue to consider inciting insurrection isn't worth bothering with, so they will again stay away.

Turning out to be the farce that most people envisioned.

The Republican party is obviously still terrified of Trump and what he might do to the future aspirations of many of them. Personal gain before country sums them up.

What could be interesting: if a significant number of Republicans not show up for the vote. If 25 Republicans decided not to come to work that day & all 50 Demos voted to convict, that would give the necessary 2/3's vote.

Well there are Republican witnesses that this is what McCarthy reported. You misunderstand the law. Those election witnesses who testified under oath had no real knowledge as further examination showed. In this case we have at least one Republican congressman as an actual witness to what McCarthy said. McCarthy so far has made no comment.

If there was an audio file, you'd dispute that, and say it was doctored, or was taken out of context.  And if Trump himself admitted it, you'd come up with some other excuse.

If you don't believe it, maybe you want to look at the recently released statement by Republican Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler.  She said McCarthy (Minority Leader of the House=Republican)  told her, and long before today she shared the details with many people.   I'm just sorry it didn't get picked up by media or the House Impeachment Managers earlier.

There's a reason some people get sent to my phantom zone (Ignore user). It's a waste of time to even try with some who are willfully ignoring the truth.

For the LIFE of me I can't understand the mojo the former president has to bamboozle these poor miscreants.

Can you back that up with facts?

The Dems will show up in full force but where is the defendant. Too cowardly to lead his supporters and too cowardly to defend himself.

President Trump's defense team today blew their opponents out of the water with a montage of video excerpts where Democrats such as Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer and joe bideni along with various CNN talking heads called for violence against President Trump and his supporters. They also urged Trump haters to "fight like he11".  This is getting downright embarrassing for the impeachment managers, who have no case.

Because a intellectually empty montage has so much evidentiary force?

Trump defense team ridiculed over video of Democrats saying 'fight'

Lawyers for Donald Trump were condemned by Democrats and ridiculed by critics on Friday, after they showed the Senate impeachment trial a video which sought to compare remarks on the campaign trail and in support of protests against systemic racism with Trump’s incitement of the attack on the US Capitol on 6 January.

In the video, prominent figures including Vice-President Kamala Harris and the Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren were shown using the word “fight”, the word taken out of context and spliced with scenes of violence and destruction during nationwide protests sparked by the killing by Minneapolis police officers of George Floyd, an African American man.

Outside the White House on 6 January, Trump told supporters to “fight like hell” to overturn his election defeat by Joe Biden, which he claims without evidence was the result of widespread fraud.

If this were a criminal trial, at this point the judge would call both the defense and prosecution over and chew the prosecution out for wasting the court's time. President Trump's acquittal is guaranteed.

Actually, I think he'd have some strong words with the jurors who met up with the defense team during the trial, don't you agree?

Three GOP senators meet with Trump's lawyers on eve of impeachment defense presentation

PS. Don't worry, I'm not expecting an answer just like those who are asking you for links to credible sources verifying your trolling claims. Anyway, you bridge is waiting so you'd better get going.

If this is a criminal case, former President Trump would have to appear in court and swear under oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Now that will be entertaining and hilarious even for the judge.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans died in the service for their country defending the US and the constitution. The Republicans in the house and senate refuse to do their duties because they are afraid of being "primaried" and having their careers in politics ruined.

The Republicans created this mess but are too cowardly to do anything about it.  How sickening.
