geovalin
As countries look to make tourism more eco-friendly in line with global sustainable development goals, the private sector is stepping up by providing green transport alternatives in the Kingdom’s most visited tourist destination. Launched in 2014, electric motorbike rental company Green E-bike said it estimates having saved some 300 tonnes of CO2 emissions – equivalent to the planting of 1,450 trees – since it was established. Its bikes also actively improve the tourist experience while benefiting local businesses. Green E-Bike founder Yann Vaudin said, “Although electric bikes are fairly well known around the world, they were not used much in the rental market, especially in Cambodia. After studying the market here, our success came from the fact we placed our rental price between the classic bike and the tuktuk, creating a new market.” He said that when he launched, UNESCO was working with the Apsara Authority to support the reduction of CO2 emissions and tackle pollution, so electric bikes were a welcome solution. Apsara is the Cambodian management authority responsible for protecting the Angkor Archaeological Park. It was founded in 1995 and is in charge of the research, protection and conservation as well as the urban and tourist development of the park. It is headquartered in Siem Reap. read more https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50814323/electric-vehicle-boom-supports-eco-tourism-in-siem-reap/

Stargeezr
Did you know that electric vehicles are heavy. Here is a picture of a tire that is needed for them. A point to ponder. Hybrid is a better solution for now, in my estimation. Also in cold Canada in the winter, just how far can you go before you have a dead battery. Dead battery, equals lots of charging or a tow bill.
