Uproar and tension as stupidity leads to possibility of 41 tested for COVID after Prey Veng wedding

Khmer Times has reliably learned that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior were extremely upset and concerned with the antics of a police woman who attended a wedding party in Prey Veng on 17 February, 2021 and was later tested positive for COVID-19.

 
Authorities fear the outbreak of a fourth community outbreak within a week if there are positive cases among the 41 brought in for swab tests after being tracked down. The police women who reportedly has a Chinese national as a husband, had attended the  wedding at Toul Sangke Toteung village, Cheach commune, Kamchay Mear district.
 

Mr Chantha, Deputy Governor of Prey Veng Province, stated that  the  35-year-old woman, ideitified by her initials as  L.S.P. is admitted to the National Center for Tuberculosis Control in Phnom Penh for treatment. He said that the woman and three friends had attended the wedding from 12 to 3:30 pm. Swift investigations and questioning of the infected victim revealed that she had come into contact with up to 14 people directly  and another  27 indirectly. Up to 800 people had attended the wedding reception in total.
